The problem is Yasuo can easily make a comeback, as his kit has too much value to be useless at any point in the game.
He can always splitpush while being worth 0 gold, and will eventually reach a point where he can still 1v1 any other Top Laner despite what their building.
He has a good chance of winning any matchup, including those against his counters, simply because he always has some advantage.
-
Yas has more consistent damage, more mobility, and outscales after lvl 6.
-
Yas has lower cooldowns, more poke, easier way to push the lane, and a lower skill floor.
-
Yas has no mana, an easy way to push the lane, lower cooldowns, and more consistent damage while matching her in burst damage.
-
Yas has more mobility, his Q goes through Coutner Strike, and can interrupt his Leap Strike with his Tornado.
The list goes on, but the point around the board is that Yasuo always has more potential to win the lane than his enemy does. Counterpicking essentially means "Yasuo can't rofl-stomp his opponent in this matchup."
IDK how many bad Yasuo's you come across, but the majority of mine always seem to win every lane, or make a giant come-back after getting buried, ending the game as the highest level and the most damage dealt.
And finally, the reason he will always chase and will always towerdive is because he CAN with almost no way to punish him without your jungler camping you. The fact that this is allowed makes Yasuo have to ask "Why shouldn't I tower dive? Even if I die, I'll still be stronger in the long run."
Yasuo has many many problems that make him a burden to play against. You can't just say that bad Yasuo players are a good thing to have on the enemy team, because honestly that's true for EVERY champion.
