Like this is how they think. When you make a mistake and learn from it your human. When you keep making the same mistakes over and over your a psychopath.

I agree with your statement about damage, but the Ardent Censor thing doesn't really apply. The way they killed the Ardent Censor rush was too make it weaker the earlier you buy it.

So if you rush that you gonna be working with like half an item or less in terms of potential value.

What I'm thinking about is the impact of getting Locket earlier. Imagine rolling in to that level 7 dragon team fight with a Locket already built! Or imagine rushing Mikael's first against a Malzahar mid. Malz wanders down to dragon to use his first ult of the game and you immediately cut it!!!! So funny and tilting!

Almost makes me want to main support next season

Well they are removing sightstones so people can rush support items again and not have to worry about sightstone.

Exactly, so theoretically you may be able to get Ardent even earlier, but since it's weaker earlier, it's not amazing rush value.

I mean you may choose to rush it still just to make sure you have it when it becomes really good, but it's fully possible that other items be more value early on. Like Redemption comes to mind. That bonus shielding and its use at that early dragon fight could be way more impactful early on than Ardent is.

But your playing a healing/ shielding champion. Heals and shields scale with ap so your getting more out of an early ardent rush over a redemption rush.

That's only situationally true. I mean there is a reason why people stopped rushing Ardent when riot made it worse the earlier you build it.

Let's not downplay the value of Redemption's use ability. And maybe people will rush Ardent again, it's still nice for other supports cuz they will get whatever item them want earlier as well. Like now Braum can rush Knight's Vow or Locket just as easily as Janna can get Ardent.
