Someone told me to build Lethality, and I said "I prefer crit". I got hit with that "that's why you're gold". Build preference is a thing, like honestly, kinda triggers me

That's the current issue with the B.S. meta, before Flat armor to lethality changes, MissFortune and Lucian using item 3071 and item 3142 were so rampant, especially when Ghostblade still gave attack speed as an active that those 2 champions might as well of been auto ban or use'm or disband because they give practically no room in early game to fight on a even level and you were constantly pressured at your turret and still could be poked down and make into easy eats for diver based junglers.

Even if they were to 'buff' attack speed and/or critical to make it more effective for marksman to use, it would just be indirectly buffing every crit based melee including Tryndamere and Yasuo to such ridiculous levels that Tank Yasuo would of seem 'tamed' in comparison when a Yasuo already at 100% crit build can melt a health bar with just a single Q poke on a enemy mid'laner that did not stack up armor to counter out the poke damage(which once again, Yasuo's R basically negates half that bonus armor once he's on 100% crit roids).

Don't even get me started with Kayle , MasterYi , XinZhao, Jax, especially Xin and Jax who were annoying top/jungle bullies and any buffs they could get would just bring them to URF tier ridiculousness again.

You would think Riot could just do the easy solution and admit they fked up by putting lethality to 60% and just revert it back to 40% atleast to 'stem off' some of the damage, when really i would say they need to make lethality's upfront effect extremely low at early levels (like 20~25% low) so its forced to be extremely worthless in early game and its more intended to be priortized in mid'game where other players will then have better breathing room to pick up counter build items on top of main'grab items.

Its seriously a problem when people already got 2~3 items full built when mid'game hasn't progressed much because they were able to get so many champion kills, turret kills and objectives thanks to lethality becoming a B.S. snowball early game stat OR atleast got a fully built item like item 3142 much earlier then they should really of gotten it.

Even if they removed the attack speed, it doesnt help that mobility such as the 'out of combat flat move speed bonus' also gives a secret little buff to these 'lethality build ADCs' where they also get to get back to lane faster and even roam much easier to where they can continue snowballs and even pull off moments like bot lane rushing the mid'lane in the early game to easily secure both lanes and grab dragon with ridiculous ease with a 3 to 4 man early game dragon kill.

Seriously, Lethality should be a 'choice' just like Lifesteal or to priortize Armor or Magic resist against a enemy team in order to counter builds, not to be a mandatory 'EZ game snowball bringer'. Either they make Lethality effective against low armor targets OR to counter high armor targets, Plus they should have a proper counter, if they are gonna be effective against low armor targets then grabbing 1 or 2 armor items should effectively shut down the value of lethality and if its made to counter high armor targets it should then have much less effectiveness against low armor targets.
