No they're not. Blitz does literally NOTHING supportive, and Thresh does almost nothing except for his lantern. They're just more kill lane supports.

You have no argument, so I'm gonna call this my win. Thresh and Blitz are real supports, and they have a time and place in botlane, ardent meta or not. They counter sustain lanes with powerful engage tools. You just want supports to be one-dimensional. That's your choice.

Lol wut? I already made my argument. Blitz does literally nothing supportive and Thresh does almost nothing except his lantern. If they're doing poorly in bot lane then go play them somewhere else. If the players are so good with these champs I'm sure they'll make it work.

I think your definition of 'supportive' is pretty narrow. Applying CC should be considered supportive, and all but one of blitz's abilities do that. That said, blitz was designed with top lane in mind to be fair, it's just he's much more successful as a support (which I continue to ban throughout this enchanter meta).

Imo the only champs that do nothing supportive at the kit level are master yi, lucian, and katarina (although lots of champs only do 'supportive' things with their ults, which is among the reasons they're not played as supports).

If you think Blitz does nothing supportive and Thresh doesn't have anything supportive except lantern then you clearly have not played these champs correctly.

Although I agree that blitz is a binary poor excuse of a champion thresh is actually a lot more complex then just a lantern. Thresh has engage and pick potential as well as powerful peeling abilities to keep melees off your ranged carries.

Blitzcrank is a cancerous support that is 0 fun to play against. He kills any diversity in team composition as well.

I would rather have blitz and thresh because there is actual counterplay to them besides WHO CAN GET ARDENT CENSER FIRST and buff their adc to unkillable status first. It would be nice to go back to when adcs had to actually know how to play their roles and not be rewarded for being out of position with a shield and 2.50 attack speed for getting a shield. What makes the ardent meta even worse is that it doesnt appeal to all adcs and those who dont work with ardent are either left in the dust or just not worth picking over ardent adc. IE: lucian MF EZ

TLDR: Fuck ardent meta and have it scale with support level and bring back the leona/thresh/blitz/braum lanes Where there was actual fighting involved and not just WHO SHIELD IS BIGGER
