Yi True Damage and Q. Broken ?

I often play Maste Yi as jungler ( surprise!!!) I usually go with recommended items.

Some of the things I do like to know, so that I don't try to fight and die in vain.

  1. I had all the items, With devour ( 30 monsters). I used Q, then Ulti + E + BoTr + Smite on Yasuo { (fed, lvl 18) . 0 damage was done and I died in 1 hit. I thought Q and E can do true damage so why was there 0 damage? Even lifesteal didn't work.

So wondering is there anything that I'm missing.. and yasuo had no armor items.

  1. On Another instance Malphite was in recall. I used Q on him to hit and stop. He was still able to recall. So Q doesn't stop recall or it's just broken?

  2. I had ulti + E activated and was hitting a champ. I clicked Q but he didn't jump. Also I'm pretty sure there was no stun or slow spell on me. ( I did kill that champ thou).

Your first scenario with the yasuo is horribly exaggerated. The yasuo probably had two lifesteal items and easily slaughtered you while lifestealing all your damage back.

The malphite scenario is because malphite when recalling has a shield (to recall you need to be out of combat and malph gains a shield when out of combat. A single Q from a yi probably doesn't do enough damage to take out the shield in one hit so he continued recalling (as long as the shield doesn't break he's still technically out of combat).

As for your final scenario, maybe it just didn't go off. Sometimes we think we click a button and a spell doesn't go off. Happens.
