Why have we just accepted overloaded champions in League?

Seriously why do we just allow what feels like a million champions running around the game doing pretty much everything and being cancer to the entire game? Yasuo - mobility of infinite dashes, double crit, knockups, can block every projectile, a shield that he can just regain in 10 seconds just by moving around, an ult that suspends you to be helpless and then gains armor pen to shred everyone. Fiora - mobility, true damage, can pretty much block all damage and CC with one ability, a slow and crit, and then a fucking mini janna ult Irelia - instant gap closer, tenacity, true damage, life per hit, a slow or stun if you're just ONE POINT of health above her, and a spell vamp ranged attack Camille The latest edition to this cancer - shields, mobility that can also stun, a slow that can also heal her, can do true damage, a mini jarvan ult that knocks away everyone except the victim

The more I see these kinds of champions in the game or get revealed to add to the game soon the more I just come to hate the way the game is heading. I don't want a hundred different versions of Fiora that I have to face off against in every single one of my games. Her kit is bullshit enough already!

######( I know there are probably more champions with overloaded kits in the game but these were just the ones I thought of when I wanted to give examples)

would you prefer underloaded champs that don't do anything

Forhonor3213 votes

No but I'd prefer if Riot would stop creating champions with what feels like every tool or ability they could ever want into their kits

You said fioras ult is a Janna mini ult.

It's not a mini-ult if it's legitimately 50x as effective in healing as Jannas.

I didn't realize Fiora's instantly healed at start of cast and knocked back all enemy team members. Janna's ultimate is 200 + 50% AP a second. Fiora's is 140 + 60% Bonus AD a second. Something about 50x?

Fioras ultimate lasts way longer. Also, I was agreeing with you when I said Fioras op. God, people are rude these days.

Fiora isn't OP.

Her ultimate also only lasts longer if she hits 3 or 4 Vitals. Which increases it by 1 and 2 seconds respectively longer than Janna's. Janna's ultimate is also instantaneous and doesn't require any effort.

Thought you were OP. Stay out of this, I was talking to OP.

We accept em because we have no choice. What else are you going to do? All you can do is hope is Riot balances them which is almost too difficult to do. Take Yasuo for instance, everytime they've nerf yasuo, his kit is so god damn overloaded that they would have to give him the aatrox treatment and even then he would probably find a way back in to the game. The reason they don't is because of he is so beloved. And in their position, as much as I find Yasuo to be a one of the most toxic champions in the game, I cannot blame them for not removing him. He's too fun to play with for those that play him.

we don't, riot just keeps making them

Garen Super tanky for no reason, can get even more damage reduction, built-in Warmog's that isn't affected by minions, point-and-click silence, bonus movespeed that also breaks slows, tons of waveclear and AoE, %HP true damage, completely manaless, point-and click execute that can do true damage. Amumu Absurd gapclosing CC, tons of waveclear and percent HP damage that he doesn't even need to hit you with, spammable AoE damage that just increases in DPS when you hit him, takes reduced damage for literally no reason, instasnare an entire team in a radius that's bigger than any other CC ultimate. Ashe Literally impossible to kite with permaslow, free damage on Q, literally undodgeable poke that also slows, global range vision on a basic ability that has two charges, global stun and AoE slow that's practically impossible to miss. Fiddlesticks Point and click CC that pretty much removes you from the fight, impossible to kill with his healing unless you have ignite or 5v1 him, point-and-click silence that literally bounces to everyone with no counterplay, massive AoE damage on his ult that only needs him to stand beside you to work.

I agree, get rid of these disgustingly overloaded champions.

lul.

Annie Incredibly high burst damage, point and click stun that also does insane damage, aoe burst that also gives her an op minion, damage reduction for literally no reason, punishment for attacking her for literally no reason.

Veigar Legit longest stun in the game that's also AoE with a huge radius, massive amounts of free ability power, excecution ultimate that already has a ridiculous base damage, AoE burst damage with a 1.0 AP ratio (not even his ultimate).

Illaoi Free damage on passive that doesn't even require her doing anything to trigger it, ultimate that gets even more effective than it already is based on how many people were hit, ability to attack people without even interacting with them, BS amounts of AoE lifesteal.

Brand Incredibly easy to hit 2-second stun (at all levels), ultimate that does incredible damage to people that wasnt even his target, damage to poke you after you trade with him, passive that procs item 3116 for 4 seconds.

Yes, get rid of them.

as if the players have the power to removw overloaded shit from the game lul.

The first three I agree with, but even then, Irelia is due for a rework anyways, Fiora actually takes skill to play, and even more to be as annoying as you described her, and Camille is uncalled for. Mobility that is a stun, if you use it to run you have no stun. Plus its a skillshot. True damage, kite her or cc her so that she can't hit you its an aa empowered ability. Slow that heals its less effective in the inner radius. Massive sheilds, again kite her, disengage, cc her, it only lasts like 3 seconds. Only her ult is op, and still, displacement completely counters it. Lee sin, alistar, tristana.

Because most of us have played other MOBAs and we know that "overloaded" is overused in the League community. If you took any God from Smite and put them into League they would easily be the most OP champ in the game. Literally any of them.

Know why? Because they actually ARE overloaded.

Comparison; Caitlyn VS. Neith (her Smite counterpart).

Q - Cait shoots a line shot, it hurts. Neith shoots the same line shot, it hurts AND roots all targets struck. Additionally if it hits one of her traps it will detonate a circular area doing damage and rooting all targets within.

W - Cait drops a trap, don't step on it. Neith does AoE damage over a wide area and lifesteals for the damage dealt, obviously increasing based on targets hit.

E - Cait shoots a net that launches her backwards, the net slows and marks the first target for a headshot. Neith Does a backflip (pretty damn high too) that can be used to dodge, it also damages and slows ALL targets in front of her when she starts it AND drops one of her traps on the ground for comboing with Q.

R - Caitlyn targets you from a decent range and shoots, can be blocked by a teammate. Neith targets you from literally anywhere on the map and shoots, can also be blocked by teammates... Oh but it stuns you for some reason.

None of your examples even come close to just this ONE champion from ONE other game.

Forhonor3212 votes

You're right in the sense that none of my examples compare to any other champ from another MOBA. But guess what: I'm not comparing a champions kit to a different MOBA champion, I'm not trying to compare "oh well but x person from x game is overpowered to y person from y game" I'm looking at their kits and comparing them to others from the same game and no other. I'm comparing these ktis to other from the_ same_ game, not any other. Smite has it's own sense on what to put in a kit and what may seem overloaded in one, as does League. I'm just trying to keep to one game sense and not bring a million other senses into this.

But if EVERYONE is overloaded... no one really is. Except Ao Kuang, he's overloaded
