I have to ask...what are the point of these Vlad nerfs?

2 seconds added to his already massive W CD aren't going to do anything. He doesn't have a combo that relies on it anymore.

5 MS off of him isn't going to do much either.

If you plan to continue nerfing him, I hope you have another rework planned.

You should have completely reworked his ult. You know...the team-wide damage-amp that you should have removed with his rework.

He will never be a decent champion as long as he has that. I promise.

He'll either be 'good enough' to warrant taking for the ult, or so bad that the ult isn't worth having him as a champion on your team.

If he's ever a decent champion by himself, he'll be gamebreaking solely because he also has that ultimate.

Meanwhile the inverse apparently isnt true Maokai

Except Maokai is balanced by mana costs, being melee, and not being a damage champion.

If Mao gained damage for building tank, maybe you'd have a point with maokai as an inverse.

Then again, you might also notice that Maokai ALWAYS makes it back into the meta. What Mao offers isn't as frustrating to deal with for people as manaless, range, and damage. His kit, especially due to being melee, doesn't let him brute-force laning phase and his ult doesn't let you steamroll over the other through damage alone.

If tankiness were equal to damage, you'd have fewer damage champions running around. They are not parallel in magnitude.

Tanking doesn't win games. Damage does.

Except Vlad is balanced by having health costs, insanely weak early game, and having the entire premise of his kit gutted as soon as the enemy team wises up and spends just 800g on a item 3123

Vlad used to have a weak early game. Its not weak anymore. And you'd think pros wouldn't be banning him if all it took was an 800g item to make him useless.

Besides, you're basically saying that Riot should keep nerfing him until he's useless enough that pros won't play him.

His only high statistic outside of pro play is ban rate. His winrate is low. His damage isn't insane. His damage taken isn't incredible. His deathcount isn't low; its actually closer to the bottom than the top.

This iteration of Vlad isn't working. Its essentially the same issues as Azir (good in pro play, weak in non-competitive), but easier to play, lower play-making potential, and much more punishable. Considering its so much easier to play (especially since he's given a free laning phase, essentially, and is a mid-late game carry), it shows there's something wrong when he holds a sub-50% winrate with a low play rate to go along with it.

Vlad's early game is still extremely weak. If you dont believe me, I'll 1v1 you in a custom. You can play Vlad and see how OP he really is.

the point is about balance. So nerf the bloodsucker

WoonStruck1 votes

Can you even say why its unbalanced or how these nerfs will help solve that?

Calabok1 votes

does not matter. it is not up to us.

Its exactly this attitude that's driving League into a hole.

Calabok1 votes

its also a free game. get over it.

So you're saying that we should let the game become worse, rather than try to improve it?

Calabok1 votes

saying we should let the game creators fix it and stop whining.
