Support - Can't carry in preseason

Hey, gold 5 support main here. So, I play with lower elo friends in soloQ. It's kind of my job to carry them... but...

Matchmaking puts me vs an equal team... bronzes, silvers and a gold. But their gold will most often be on a carry role in a lane where I can't really effect them, gorging themself silly on my lower elo teammates. I end up spoonfeeding my low-elo adc kills... but even if they come out equal, they will be a bronze facing a gold, and we all know who wins.

I have Duskblade blocking out my wards... sometimes multiple Duskblades per team, hampering my macroplay. Roaming to deal with the threat is expensive and I don't get EXP for the shutdown unless I take the kill... which as a support, I don't do. And even if I shut down the fed gold carry, killing them does nothing to their eyeballs and stacks, which are effectively bonus gold they've received for kills.

I used to say, knuckle down and carry. But in preseason it feels like the option has evaporated.
