"Report support, no Sightstone"

NekoniClaws·1/2/2018, 1:40:28 PM·13 votes·1,405 views

I -actually- got reported by two teammates (on my nice, low elo smurf) earlier for not building sightstone first item.

Of course after they started calling me bad, a troll, cussing at me and telling the enemy team to report me for 'trolling', I didn't feel like it belonged in my build atall. I'd rather lose than give two toxic players positive reinforcement.

My first item? Ardent Censer on Sona. My team were all AD auto-attack based champions. (I brought up the comp issues in champ select)

This was not a 'rush sightstone' game. My team made it very clear that if they saw the enemy team, they were going to run straight at them. But that's fine. What's not fine is this insane idea you can report people for not building certain items, even if they're the ~~'dog'~~support.

I would have reported you for playing Sona.

And then double reported you if you're a Sona main.

And then triple reported if you played any skin besides DJ Sona, or Arcade (only half-report for this one).

And then Quadra reported if you didn't honor me at end of game.

And then Penta reported if we didn't win the game, because we obviously lost due to the support (and jungle of course).

who cares? you can report anyone for anything. If you don't do anything wrong, no problem.

reported != punished

and why are you complaining about people not understanding the game when you purposely play with low skill/newbie anyway??

My first item? Ardent Censer on Sona.

Ardent Censor meta is LONG over, why are you bothering getting that first? It's better as a second or third item.

You can always stop ruining games by not smurfing so you don't have to deal with low elo shotcalls. Play in your REAL ELO so players won't call you out for not building sightstone.

HalcyonDweller1/2/2018, 4:58:41 PM3 votes

Calling for reports on another player (such as yourself) in the way that they did in that game is considered harassment.

Report them, or submit a support ticket. Riot will deal with them appropriately.

Edit: Also fuck those guys, they were entitled crybabies who can't handle it when you exercise you free will and don't do what they wanted you to.

I'd of reported you for rushing ardent censor. That item is useless until late-game

Jo0o1/2/2018, 2:13:03 PM3 votes

Can't fix stupid. Let them report you, it won't come to anything. Mute them if they're annoying.

Smurfing ruins the game for everyone else.

Support life is fun Supports are supposed to do everything Not enough wards on the map -> flame support Adc dies early 'cause they went 2v1 -> blame support Enemy team invades your jg steals your jungler's buff -> For some strange reason, blame support

[sg-ahri-3] Hello I got to diamond 1 playing AP Sona and I didn't buy sighttone until plat 1, cheers, haters gonna hate, and winners gonna win. Noobs don't use vision if I can carry, do it. Not there to make friends. However sightstone is really important in higher Elo where players use and need the vision, norms or sub plat doesn't matter a lot if u get a blue trinket

Why are the majority of people here attacking NekoniClaws re: the build/picking Sona/playing a Smurf, he/she wanted to point out the ridiculous idea you could report something for not building how they wanted... The only reason something's even considered "meta" is because we watch the pro's do it or live-streamers; it doesn't mean there's not a better way to play a champ. Also is it somehow illegal to have two League accounts? Maybe we don't like smurfs but you actually think Faker is playing on his real account when he practices? How embarrassing would that be to get owned by someone who's not famous in a regular match.

MachstDuBierHase1/4/2018, 9:52:26 AM2 votes

You got a 2x trinkets on botlane. You can use said trinket every 120 seconds. You can also buy a pink ward (called vision ward these days) to ensure vision on your end.

IF you can play this way, esp. on Sona a early sightstone is wasted. However if you are in peril, get ganked or killed a lot and dont ward enough you made a mistake, people got mad and they have a right to.

Sadly though, this game is "friendly players only" so even though you did not support your team fairly, you'll complain becuase you lack the understanding of it. Moving on.

There are plenty of situations where it's better to buy something else, just mute them :)

Personally, this is where I draw the line and be like..

You auto locked (X) ADC Champion I don't agree with that decision either if you don't like it find someone else.

Game Starts type /mute all, disable your pings.

Play as you like anything you don't even have to go an actual support especially if auto filled because chances are especially in lower elo they are gonna be garbage anyways so don't go something like Soraka and add more garbage to your team when you could be more useful anyway, the exception if you have other lanes and 3 other players who have a good comp and know how to play.

LOL Generally doesn't punish for meta issues unlike some games like Smite & DOTA 2 that create a huge negative effect on players just for sending reports.

And yeah saying "Report X User" in League OF Legends is banworthy now likely just a chat restriction or warning on first offense, but at least Riot is doing something unlike the game Smite where people call reports all day, and even an Employee of Hi-Rez said it's not harassment to do this over there.

"I'd rather lose than give two toxic players positive reinforcement."

then you deserved the report if your not trying to win.

DoktorKaiser1/4/2018, 11:25:27 AM1 votes

Not building sightstone first item should not be punishable.

Not building sightstone at all should be instant permanent ban on main and all smurfs and a 150 000$ fine.

Plastic 5 ADC1/3/2018, 2:41:17 AM1 votes

Yes it is punishable to not build sightstone at all in a game.

But they shouldn't cry it that it should be your first item, that's a preference.

Not having a sightstone by the time you are done laning or by 15-20 minutes is despicable

Lol I hate when I just finished my support item and already people are calling out the fact I'm not buying a sightstone. Like damn, sorry guys I'm working on it, jeez. It hasn't happened in a long time though, now that I think about it. I wonder why that is. Seriously, I don't remember the last time I heard someone bitch about sightstone. Weird.
