'Flame the Jhin, he'll play better!'
I just had the joy of a high elo team in ARAM.
Pretty comfortable with this... but then my family wake up.
My mom is crying. She had to fix my dad's respirator in the night - she's incredibly tired (she has a chronic fatigue). My dad hears her, comes in, argues. My grandma hears her... it's a family row 5 foot from me.
My play's obviously getting shaky. My team's noticed and are dropping little quips. I've gone from playmaking, and super-clean, to.. 'meh'. Then, my dad (because he's angry) starts watching netflix instead of waiting for 5 more minutes. My ping goes to 300.
I have been apologizing for playing poorly, and communicating just why I'm playing so poorly. I am still trying my best, because I want to end this game ASAP and go help my family.
The chat's rolling around. I can't pay attention to it, but then I see something odd. "No, we should flame Jhin because then he'll learn and play better"
[slayer-jinx-unamused]
Yohohoho ok people. I understand you think anything below plat is a smear on a baby's diaper, and it just feeellllss soooo good to rub your shiny border alll over the less shiny borders. But man, you sure are full of **. You've all been playing pretty freakin' poorly with GOOD ping and no drama (Blitzcrank, in bush, notice.)
Yeah, I LEARNT SOMETHING ALRIGHT. The next time I say there's a family issue going on and I'm distracted, and my team starts flaming me regardless, I'm going to go and help the people who actually deserve it. And funnily enough those people aren't the trash-talking stooges who I was randomly assigned to play a super-casual videogame mode with.
