I've been playing since season two. I am disappointed in many things this year and I am just worn out and done with the Developers and the game.

  1. Damage is extremely high because of the new Runes System. The new Runes Reforged really messed with the state of the game and which champions excel and are not playable. Damage is way too high because of specific runes, one tree always has better options and more unique things in it than another, and it just isn't fun to play against a ridiculous rune when you feel like you made an amazing play.

  2. The Jungle changes are in full effect. Despite a huge uproar about how much players did not like the Scuttle changes, Riot is insisting on keeping it in the game. So many champions are no longer playable in the jungle and now specific types of champions in the jungle will always be meta and easier to play in it. It's kind of always been this way but now it is clearly evident that a specific type of champion is always going to succeed in the new jungle.

  3. Too much emphasis is being put on new champion, giving VGU to champions that don't necessarily deserve it over another, and reworks are being prioritized on popular champions like Ryze, Ahri, Lux, and Azir. The Development team no longer works on champions that really need attention. The Development team works on a champion because they will get the best money from them. From a marketing standpoint it is genius. From a player that doesn't play or like Ryze, Ahri, Lux and many other popular champions . . . . we feel ignored.

  4. Toxicity is not being dealt with. I do actively see players who are racist, homophobic, and just really hateful people getting banned. I do not see players who are ruining matches getting banned permanently from the game. I see the same players doing the same behavior, playing the same way, and being the same person they have been in every ranked game. The environment ranked creates is already toxic and it is expected that players know at least how to play the game relatively well. When someone is purposely queing into a match to deliberately annoy players, they shouldn't be allowed to play ranked games. Especially if they have a history of it. There needs to be a vote to kick option. Muting players, muting all players, and expecting players to constantly be the bigger person and deal with the game the way it is, is tiring, never ends and really ruins the atmosphere of the game. There is no point in playing the game if I am getting players that are not as serious about ranked as I am and they go Xerath mid to feed, whine, spam surrender and then rage quit for 10 minuets because they didn't do well. It is apparently everyone else fault that a inting Teemo mid player admitted he never played ranked but cussed everyone out multiple times, fed, and was rude the entire game . . . . matters more than the players actually trying to win the game ranked game and have fun.

  5. There is actually no reformity. You can get a 10 game chat restriction and it will take you half the year to get back into honor. The system actually doesn't promote players to be friendly and enjoy playing the game. There is no progression bar, so many false reports, and the system punishes players way too hard and doesn't really give them a chance to be better players. I mean I know players that have remained toxic that are treated better than the players who are really trying hard to be better players.

Leave the game if you no longer enjoy it. Stop forcing yourself to play a beating horse the Developers don't want to actually improve. If you don't enjoy the game leave and don't support the game with your money and time. The game is no longer fun because of a lot of things but the major thing is it's not progressing, the Developers are making the same mistakes and working on content for the same champions every year, there are too many champions in the game for the amount of work that needs to be done on existing ones, and the toxicity is at an all time high. There is no point in playing the game.

I dislike the new early game jungle/mid meta as well.

But

Runes Reforged was the best thing that happened to league, some talents need to be removed or swapped as they're not picked or somewhat irrelevant, but other than that, they're great and allowed new players to be on equal terms with veterans in terms of raw stats.

Honor is a cool addition to the game, don't be overly toxic and you won't get punished for it.

Toxicity is part of every online competitive game, you being a veteran should know better, you being in NA and calling the region toxic in 2018... it's silly and cute.

If you were really a veteran you should remember what it was like in the early days.

Pick evelynn? "I'll annihilate you and your family from existence!" all kinds of racial slurs, homophobia and what-not. Compared to those days, league is timid now, and if you happen to find someone like this in your game, he's out in a flash. - You can also submit a personal request if you'd like.

New champions need to be flashy to attract players to actually buy them, reworks obviously happen to more popular champions first as there's more data to go on, for.

Aatrox, nunu are on the list, and those 2 are barely played.

  1. I'll agree that damage is on the high side. Still matches still last an average of 25-30 mins to me. If it was TOO high I'd be seeing lots more shorter games so I can't really complain.

  2. People roar at everything. No seriously. Literally every change in this game was received that way. When we got multiple dragons you wouldn't believe the reaction it got. Elder Dragon! oh man. RIFT HERALD... ooooh man. Riot's taking the wait and see approach to see if people will adapt to this change or not. That makes complete sense.

  3. I disagree. Evelynn got reworked not too long ago and barely anyone played her. They definitely have a reasoning when picking champs to change. Same with Swain and Urgot.

  4. This is the statement that made me want to comment. Like holy crap. League b4 was bad. REALLY bad. The honor system, and the new pick ban phase are fantastic. League toxicity has never been lower. Every two matches someone was saying the N word or ragequitting or just being general asshats. Now even twitch streamers are trying to reform for those honor rewards.

  5. The system actually doesn't promote players to be friendly and enjoy playing the game. You just explained how they incentivize good behavior. They can't just outright permaban bad apples. It's a competitive game. It's much better now than it ever was in my opinion.

Ranked ban penalty was great . Flame in ranked ? go chill in 200 normal drafts mixed with silvers , bronzes , gold , plats and off meta picks .

I agree so much. The game was way better without Runes Reforged and the stupid RNG crap that Ghostcrawler brought that already ruined the previous game he was employed at!

Such a pointless thread, you bring up things that have been mentioned a hundred times before acting like it actually makes a difference. Either you accept game state as is and continue to play or not play at all. Maybe you are just trying to get attention or you aren't trying at all, but needless to say these goodbye threads are borderline cringey and just useless.

I have to say, while I've had only some unfun, annoying, and/or frustrating nights on League. I have had none while not playing the last week and a half

These are the exact problems I've been facing and am seeing countless forum posts about this.

The game isn't a team game anymore, it's not a strategy game anymore. Champions have lost their identity because damage ratios are through the roof and it's now all about who pulls the trigger first.

The League of Legends community is one of the worst online communities (Not just video games) that I have ever come across-- And I've been around. Regardless of the fact that Riot doesn't do anything to better this, they openly encourage it. One of the loading screen tips advises players to be toxic and BM their enemy, assumingly because it will set them off their game. Another one says that toxicity is part of sports, but racial slurs won't be tolerated. I could hardly believe my eyes when I read that.

Honestly the only reason I still play this game is to play it with friends. It's a game that we can all get together and play online, and with a 5-man premade we don't get flamed by a feeding ADC.

The recent patches, reworks, and new items/champions have been completely insane and I have no idea where Riot's heads are at. I can only hope that this game turns around but I fear it's on its death bed, and have already turned my attention to better online games.

jungle is fine they didnt change anyhting i really dont understand what people are crying about game still lasts the same amount of time for me soooo the damage means nothing no
