Bard Ult Thought

I'll say this up front, most people will probably argue that Bards ult would be too OP regardless of the numbers used in what I am thinking, I can understand that, but this is just a thought that maybe Riot could take into consideration somehow.

Bards ult is basically a forced AoE Zhonya's that can easily go terribly wrong if used at the wrong time, and most people seem to agree that using it in a teamfight that has both allies and enemies mixed together is usually not a great idea. So what if it had a tad bit more utility on it?

Just throwing an idea out... what if his ult healed his allies for a percent of missing health? Say healing for 8%/10%/12% (increasing at each new rank) of missing health for allies (maybe turrets... or maybe not). And for enemies hit it would damage them for 8%/10%/12% of their current health. Neutral jungle monsters and Baron/Dragon effect would remain the same.

The exact numbers and scaling I used is not necessarily what I feel like it should be, just an example. But it would make ulting an in-progress team fight more viable, and also just be helpful in other situations.

Thoughts? Reactions? But please, if you are against this, be decent mannered about it.

Personally, I'm in the thought that his ult is perfect. If anything, the problem in his kit likes with his W or chimes.

Really? I like his W as is... aside from maybe changing how enemies destroy them. I would like if destroying his heals was more like destroying Rek'sai's tunnels, requiring you to stand on it for a moment, rather than just running over it. But I did also make this post about chimes...

I'll read up on your chimes post later.

His W just doesn't feel rewarding enough late game and I often forget to place it just because of how my games move around so much. I'd like to see the shrine charge faster based on how much CDR you have, so when you are sieging or during/just before a teamfight you can place them instead of having to settle for the weak heal and the movement speed buff.

I try to place them whenever possible, but I don't feel it's impact and often forget it exists, so it may also just be my problem.

Yeah, i can agree with a CDR on charge time... that would be nice, 6 seconds at max rank instead of 10

I like the stand-on idea.. imagine if Rek'sai's tunnels could be destroyed just by walking over them, it'd massively cripple her.

The only thing I could like is a bit less of delay, because in League of Mobility, that delay is crippling.

It is not that much different from Ziggs ult as it is now, but Ziggs is burst damage... instant would be like GPs ult, but his is a bit utility and a bit damage... So perhaps somewhere in between, seeing as it is all utility as it is right now.

Annie has no delay on her ult, and it is basically a forced Zhonya's that works only on the other team...

And by "Zhonya's" I mean instant unavoidable death.
