Almost every CC ability that I have seen is either too long or too strong.
I'm not one of those people who's just straight up against CC but it's really starting to feel ludicrous in some (not all) of my matches.
I've definitely met people in other games who could not play this, because the CC would just drive them crazy until they quit.
I agree that they are a bit strong in their hatred though.

Targon2 votesCC might feel overly abundant at the moment for a few reasons. Since the mage rework, a lot of mages that were rarely or uncommonly played started popping up more frequently.

, etc... all became prevalent and have very good CC. Many of these champions also synergize well with

, has become more popular too giving certain top laners some addiitional CC utility.
Meanwhile,

, (and probably others that I'm forgetting) in the bot lane had some time to shine and both of these supports have tons of CC. They also recently buffed 
's CC.

, also have pretty good CC.
All in all, there's probably a bit more CC in the average game at the moment. It's definitely a lot harder for assassins without escapes and low mobility champions lacking good self-peel.
