Don't treat Blind Pick like Ranked. That's just foolish.

The point of maintaining 3 different modes is to have 3 different queues for 3 different types of play.

Ranked is of course the serious competitive mode with the competitive meta-game.

Normal Draft is for taking the match seriously, but without the overlying competitive meta-game.

Blind Pick is the carefree mode. The mode you play when you don't really care, or don't really feel like trying.

Yet I sometimes see people start yelling at each-other in the first 2 minutes as if it was the final match of a Ranked tournament with lives on the line. [zombie-brand-facepalm] If you're going to act like that, go to Ranked. Or if you really aren't up for Ranked, then at least go to Draft Pick.

Don't soil the spirit of the carefree mode with your presence. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

And really, you have to know you're going to have people who aren't really trying and don't care in your game if you go to Blinds, so if you do care, why would you want to queue Blinds anyway? [zombie-brand-mindblown]

I live by a simple rule when it comes to League (and I don't play Ranked so this doesn't apply there): I don't give a flying fuck what you want to try/play, as long as you're going to try.

You wanna do AP Garen? Go right ahead! ADC Ahri? Sounds funny! Top-lane Crit Kat w/ Smite? No clue how you came up with that but okay!

The important part is that you make an effort. You don't just run at the enemy mindlessly or wander around the map constantly attempting to gank instead of returning to mid. You're playing a competitive game whose main goal is to win. I'm not asking you to treat it like your life depends on winning the match. I just want you to remember that playing a competitive game to lose means you shouldn't be playing a competitive game at all. Start up a custom match or play a bot game if you want to dick around.

aram became serious when riot enabled mastery and key fragment drops there. and when people started making dedicated aram accounts to limit the champions they get to the best available for the mode.

its the only mode you can get all key fragments per month in a realistic timeframe. but that still requires you to win.

its not, but you get boxes and need to win to get keys. so naturally that makes people just wanna tryhard and get a lot of wins in a short time via arams to be able to get enough keys.

i blame the entire hextech crafting system and how its designed to be a deliberate grind to be able to keep up with the key fragments. theyre capped at 4 keys per month anyways, so the entire crap with the declining drop rates wouldnt be neccessary.

or the drop rates in regular gamemodes should be double of what they are. or they should just give key fragments independent of win or loss.

I think it is constructive to practice good habits in-game. I am not critical of players, but when someone does something crazy such as ADC fizz in a blind pick and they aren't a high elo player, it really ruins the experience for the other 4 players on their team.

I usually use blind pick as a "warm-up" game before I play ranked, so rarely am I critical of players I play with. But support is my secondary and I absolutely hate supporting something like crit garen. Especially when I am trying to practice for ranked.

Normal draft has a really long queue time and going through the banning process takes awhile. I will sometimes wait 10 minutes to do a normal draft, blind pick is simply faster and easier. I don't know about you, but I get A LOT of dodges in normal draft since most players want to play their primary role and if they get their secondary they dodge.

I think they synonymous in terms of gameplay. I wouldn't be surprised if riot eliminates one of the modes at the start of next season.

Why play a competitive game if you're not going to try to win? I play ranked and blind and the only difference is I will push to use champions that I'm less comfortable in blind but I will definitely always give it my best effort.

That's all I really ask of my team; if they 0 15 that's fine as long as they tried in all honesty. If you don't feel like trying go play a game that's not meant to be competitive and where you can't affect other people's game play. There's plenty of those to go around.

If you need to win to have fun playing the game, especially if it's a not even a ranked match, then you don't actually like this game and shouldn't play at all. You're wasting your time.

Ranked = Genuine competition with the meta-game stats and everything. Normal Draft = Serious competitive playing, but without any of the meta-game Ranked has. Blind Pick = Not serious "I just want to enjoy myself with no other concerns" mode.

Obviously I'm trying to win in Draft pick. I don't need to in order to enjoy myself, but I'm trying. Blind pick I'm just trying to have fun, and other 9 people should be doing the same thing or they shouldn't be in blinds.

You really shouldnt get upvotes because what you have is an attitude that creates a very toxic environment that affects your team negatively.

Blind pick is not a mode where you dont need to try or care. Because you are ruining the experience for your team. Unranked is ACTUALLY a place to play competitive games without the stress of rank points. Its not a troll sandboxing mode.

And yelling is not something thats ok in either mode. You are the kind of person that should stay away from any team oriented game.

And since you apparently misunderstood somehow, I was not and never am the one yelling. I was talking about my the other people in the match who should of been playing ranked yelling at eachother. I think they're just as wrong to yell at eachother as you do.

In ranked I'm sticking to what I know, aka Leona, Morgana, Soraka, Janna, Sion, Garen, etc. In normals I don't give a damn and I play to have fun (of course I will try my best to win the game, but I'm not gonna be a metaslave in blind pick or normal draft), usually with friends with somewhat... questionable ways... you know, flaming, called people boosted animals, feeding like a madman, etc because it's normal and their excuse is "I don't play like this in ranked".

My gameplan if you can call it that is to play normals like they were ranked, but without the tryharding. Ashe support? Worth a shot, she's supposedly a support anyways, or that's what Riot has us belive. Garen support? Hella fun to come out of the brush chargin at the enemy, chunking them, going back into your brush and regenerating all your health while they're struggling with 300 less HP. Hell, I'm even hat soulless bastard that plays Teemo support and ends up either feeding his ass off because of Teemo's global taunt or ends up carrying the game and one-shotting anyone except the tank.

TL;DR: Play normals to have fun and try out stuff, but try to improve on your gameplay at the same time. Play ranked to tryhard and win. Enemy DC'd in the middle of the lane? You take that kill son, do you understand? There is no such thing as mercy in ranked.

Umm, I treat Blind and Draft same, because they really are. The only difference is that you can ban out cancer in Draft. There is a distinction between ranked and normal, somewhat. Some people don't feel like there is, and that's fine, they can play how they want.

I can't play Draft or Ranked because the Alpha Client doesn't support them yet, so my only option to play SR if I use the Alpha is Blind and I'd rather not go back to the legacy client at this point.

Tbh the only reason I'll play blind over normal draft is when I don't want to get stuck with support 100% of the time (I usually queue as jungle/support).

honestly ranked is tryhhard mode and you do whatever it takes to win . blind pick is mainly well if you wanna test a champ that is often banned .. the issue is blind pick has whoever calls role 1st gets it which is why i stopped blind pick since it support if you just say fill a large portion of the time. its either you see me play support Irelia or you want top lane Irelia because blind pick i play what i want and i gives 0 fuks about what people say . thats just me when i play blind pick
