Ever since I went mid my kill participation dropped very hard

I had much much more kill participation as support main with velkoz than now in the midlane..

Normal or bad ??

Honestly depends on the champion, for example if you're yuumi janna raka etc, thresh. your kp will be quite high from using one aoe ability on the team where as for mid, you have to get in or poke more.

Velkoz has trouble roaming since he has no mobility and is very squishy. So all of your laning phase you are limited to the enemy laner and (occasionally) the enemy jungler for kills. Supports not only are in a duo lane, so double the kills/assists but they also are free to roam and often have aoe spells or can easily shield the carry for free assists.

The later the game goes, the better your kill participation will be since Vel is amazing for teamfights, with all his abilities hitting multiple targets.
