it's more that the skillful stuff she CAN do isn't worth the effort most the time when pressing E and sitting on your other cooldowns for basic peeling is already so effective

It's not that she takes little skill, it's that she has a extremely low skill ceiling, probably one of the lowest in the game. Janna has no interesting or special mechanically intensive skills and most of them are very simple. The only thing that adds to Janna's skill ceiling is probably the timing of your spells, You have to set off Q at the right time to cancel a dash or cast e on a target at the correct time to avoid damage which is nothing really other champions don't do.

Tbh I'd like to see her skills have a sort of mini rework, like the Alistar mini rework. That would be absolutely perfect for Janna.
