My crazy idea for a new game mode...tell me what you think

So a few days ago I was thinking about what sorts of new game modes we could add to LOL, and then I thought of something that I think could be a lot of fun. We have lots of game modes with bans, but all of them involve banning champions. What if instead of banning champs, you banned something else instead...like items for instance? There will be some exceptions of course, like items certain champions need in order to function properly (kalista's spear, viktor's items, etc). In Ornn's case if an item with an upgrade is banned the Ornn upgrade will also be banned.

AD itemization is miles better then AP though is the problem.

That's just the current state of the game right now though. That's not really a problem with this game mode. I really don't see how banning an item is any different than banning a champion. There's always gonna be something that's broken, so just ban it if you consider it a problem. It's not hard.

in a perfect world this would be a good idea. However with the fact that some items are so broken that 10 bans wont work. Also what if I banned something like Ruby Crystal. Since its in a bunch of items would those items be unavalible? Also any tank could just ban armor penn and badabing badaboom.

For this game mode you would only be able to ban completed items. Not components. Sorry I should have specified that. I think you guys are making a lot of assumptions before even trying this. And if those items are so broken then why not ban them?? That's the whole point of this game.
