Juggernaut issue

So I've been playing nothing but top for the most part, and I myself play quite a few tanks/juggernauts. So I would like to present my problematic findings.

I think juggernauts should probably have their sustain removed. I'm not talking about shields, or stat buffs or whatever. I'm talking about good ole healing. I think there are too many juggernauts with built-in sustain that is more than a bit unnecessary. DrMundo Vladimir Darius Renekton Nasus Illaoi Now I recognize that top laners typically just live in isolation for the majority of the game, and as such sustain is kind of important. As such I'm not asking for complete removal, I'm just asking for better item synergy. E.G. if they want to sustain, they should probably need to buy some sustain, and their kit would just supplement their choices.

What I'd like to see is champions be given more item synergy for instance, Vladimir and item 3152, or Nasus (if he had no built in life steal) and item 3072, and especially DrMundo and item 3065 .

I don't know, I'm just tossing around ideas, it seems to me that there are just too many top laners kind of left in the dark on this aspect.

personally I don't really find that to be an issue in fact i think it's kind of important to make sure "juggernauts" have what makes them juggernauty to be in their kits rather than in their items. having "juggernaut" to be found predominantly in the items risks creating weird scenarios like juggernaut fiora....

You may be confused to what a juggernaut is. A juggernaut is classified as a tank/off-tank with some form of cc, mid-high damage and limited to no mobility. (You also forgot mordekaiser)

no, he' classifying champions listed by riot as Juggernauts in the official juggernaut update and its successive updates. Nasus however was mentioned as one I think

juggernauts, however, were actually listed as characters with no utility, high defense, high hp and extremely high damage that if you were ever caught by them, you would be unable to duel them

meanwhile players list yi, jax, xin zhao, aatrox, and many more(some of which are even mobile, such as yi)

Juggernauts

Nasus. Darius. Garen. Skarner. When you think brute force, these champions should come to mind: powerful, durable, immobile and melee. They’re League’s hulking titans who, come late game, turn into super tanky carries who’ll pretty much destroy anyone foolish enough to get in their way.

The prototypical juggernaut is Nasus, the classic one dog late game wrecking machine. The archetypal raid boss can only do his thing when he’s in melee range, and his lack of gap closer means he often has to rely on allied speed boosts like Sivir’s On The Hunt or well-aimed crowd control like a Morgana binding to get close, but once he does, he unleashes the power of his trademark Siphoning Strike.

Actually that's not quite correct. Nasus was the baseline used when updating Skarner, Darius, Garen, and Mordekaiser. Counting Illaoi is fair, but Nasus must be counted as one.

/Nasus buying bloodthirster\

Lol no.

If he didn't have his passive, he would likely build that due to the large amount of lifesteal.

If he didn't have his passive, he would need a new passive.

As it is, Nasus does not scale with bonus AD. At all.

To be fair if Nasus did get a Bloodthirster it wouldn't be for the AD, but rather the additional lifesteal.

Not saying that it's a good idea outside of some ridiculously rare situation, but it's still a point that should be made.
