What if dusk blades damage scaled with lethality
That way you have to actually build like an assassin to be an assassin instead of running around with tank items and a dusk blade.

Who builds duskblade into tank? I’m genuinely curious.

kayn on 3s i guess? lol
Gankplank, wukong, riven. Basically anyone who isn't an assassin and builds it.
Wukong sure. But GP and Riven build items like triforce (GP) and Ghostblade (both) if they build dusk.
Neither gankplank nor riven should be allowed to abuse lethality items
Why? They are both AD casters, just like AD assassins.

Even in regards to other positions like ADC, it's considered the "go to" for an early upper hand in damage, especially against those who are inherently tanky. I do feel like Lethality may not have been properly planned out when it was initially released. It's not as powerful as it use to be, technically, but with its implied purpose, it's a little too... universal? I mean, unless the player is an AP Caster, it's hard to imagine Lethality not being considered for a good deal of champions that aren't assassins. Hell, there is even an off-meta build for Nasus that uses Dusk Blade, and it works.
It is what it is though. Riot stands by Lethality as it is in the game, discussions of its actual power aside, so I feel like I'm trying to make a moot point here. Though I do feel like it does play a part in the reason behind its current power to some degree.
It used to scale on Lethality but rewarded Full Lethality builds too much.
It used to, still don't understand why they changed it
