Why're people using GP a lot more often now?
Just a question. Did Dyrus do it and go 20-0 with ease or something?

no hes just a save lanewinning hyperscaling champion with mappressure at 6. Yeah, sounds balanced, amiright?LOL No seriously, I play him when I want to stomp but not tryhard, a decent gp doesnt lose lane and applies pressure for free while oneshotting carries lategame. Ofc people pick him, people want to win.
DON'T PICK HIM HE'S MINE
Well he didn't go 20-0, but I remember Dyrus on his streams saying multiple times that GP is incredibly broken and even OP, so maybe that's a cause?
Yeah, but I recall some high-elo streamer saying of the like that pretty much all GP can do is do multitudes of damage. Aside from the global. Most of the time the GPs are average/manage to not win lane/even possibly lose lane. So in that respect, if he's unable to do damage (misses and whatnot), he's worthless aside from his ult.
the thing about gangplank, is that most of the time he can do damage because of how fast he farms, he also has a decent laning phase because of his q harass procing sheen
if you want an example, there is a streamer named Tobias Fate in masters+ that only players GP and TF
He can zone some champs out super hard and farm like a boss at the same time. Those barrels are a pain in the ass for melee champs.
