My problem with the "juggernauts"

There's never any way to "out play" them.

When they are strong, they just rush at your face and you feel hopeless against them as they shrug off all of your attacks and obliterate you.

When they are weak, they either blow up and offer nothing, or get sadly kited around for days.

Whenever you get crushed by a Morde or Garen do you ever think to yourself, "Wow, that guy really played that well" or, "That guy out played me, I should've done 'x' instead"?

The answer for me is no, and that's a glaring problem in their design IMO. Anyone else agree?

Mordekaiser got his third Q off

"wow he played that well, baiting me into fighting him" or "wow, i played that really badly, maybe i should back off when the super obvious sound effect tells me his third Q is ready"

darius got the blade of Q

"wow, he played that well, he read my attempt to run into the handle and moved back so that I ate the blade" or "i played that poorly, letting him get his 5 stacks on me by not trying to juke or outplay him when he's winding up his super-telegraphed Q"

I'd agree with you more if the handle hitbox wasn't ridiculously small.

the handle hitbox is bigger than the blade's..

You have to be practically standing inside Darius in order to get hit by the handle.

So... Mordekaiser auto attacked me and Darius used a PBAOE spell on me while he's in my face?

Again, either they get in range and smash you or they don't. There's no out play but, "stay away from them" which is or isn't possible depending on multiple game factors.

The main factor that is missing from their kits is any kind of skillshots or moments of weakness when they misused an ability, etc.

the outplay is not letting them get in range to do their damage. for mordekaiser that's easy; he literally cannot engage on you on his own. Either you come to him, or he had help getting to you.

if they get their primary telegrapheddamage off, then you've been outplayed. if you let Darius heal and deal double the damage that his handle would

Can't really agree as that's how feast and famine champs are. Once you're behind that's it making outplaying more crucial. It doesn't make you go "Wow, that guy really played that well" or, "That guy out played me, I should've done 'x' instead" because you expect them to.

Personally the juggernaut should go down if they fail.

The Juggernauts are not feast-or-famine champions anymore (or at least not to their previous degree), as nowadays each one has access to tools that allow them to be useful even when behind: Garen's Villian mechanic, Darius' Noxian Might and heal on Decimate, Skarner's spires and ultimate, Mordekaiser's shield revamp and Total Attack Damage scaling (although Morde is the weakest of the bunch when losing).

Surely they are weaker when behind, but not almost useless.

Maybe not Feast or Famine to that degree, but still aren't that strong if behind, plus Garen's Villain mechanics don't really pan out if the most fed enemy isn't the one who recently killed.

I only have a simple opinion...

JUGGERNAUTS ARE BULLSHIT

Way too many times I've played against a juggernaut (mostly darius/garen) and gotten curbstomped by them consistantly. I've even played against darius as a counter but I still got destroyed.
