Why do people bother playing out lost games?
The scoreline, 22-7. It's a sure loss. Why do people bother playing these out? I never get it. Can someone explain to me why people will still refuse to surrender when they are that far behind?

Ranked? Play it out if one person believes in the team, regardless what you think. Norms? FF more than likely just a tilting game.
See this is what I don't get. No amount of believe or other feel-good bullshit will net you a win with a team of hardcore feeders. It being a ranked game doesn't make it any more likely that you can win. Ranked or norms, 22-7 is a done game.

People in low elo don't know how to close games fast, so you most likely gonna get to 40 minute games and items. So still a possible chance of winning, compared to safe way of losing.
I've played thousands of games. I've only seen comebacks from hard stomps like that maybe 3 times. 22-7, 32-9, 19-2, you don't just come back from games like that.
Technically all games are winnable, even by a small margin. That's irrefutable. True a 22-7 game is probably on the shelf for a loss, but you went into the ranked game essentially telling your team I'm going to try hard until the nexus explodes. IT's not about the feel good aspect, it's about the respect. If I'm playing a basketball game and they are up 10 to 2 going to 15 do you think your team would be happy if you loitered around and threw the ball at your goal? Likewise, playing the game when the FF vote comes through is how you show respect to those players that think they still can regardless of what the end result may be you did the right thing playing till the end. Even in norms if the FF vote fails you still play your best.
I am not arguing if the game is winnable, I am only saying that you should play at 100% until the game is over regardless of how many F votes fail. And hey if they blunder, you might have a pleasant surprise.

Yes but when u 100% know you can't comeback 2v5 when the rest still keep dying over and over again, in my point of view they are wasting my time instead.
You are not wrong. It is a waste of time, but it's unfair to 5/0 ADC that says he wants to try and has done pretty much nothing wrong to have to give up against his will because no one wants to play anymore. Not because it's actually over.
Imagine though if 3 FF votes go through. That's 9 minutes of opportunities to set up traps and stuff. Under the circumstance that someone is deliberately (not just playing badly) losing the game I can see that. I've had countless games that were worse than 7/22 and won off 1 or 2 team fights that were played perfectly on our end. One was 9/31 ended up with only 25/36 never caught up. And a much older game that I'll always love, was a game where we won strictly due to macro. We were down 32 kills due to an inter and won with still being down 20 kills 24/44.
So again while they may look grim, there is still an off chance of a throw.

It's actually kinda hard to argue with that. It might sound like crazy conspiracy theory nonsense. However, consider this, League of Legends is not addictive by accident. It was designed to be addictive. Following that line of thought, it's not hard to imagine what you say as being true.
Depends,on how all the lanes are pushed, what the team comps and who has the gold . I have seen games lost with a 30+ kill difference all because brand pushed r at the right time. A 22-7 game where your jinx 7-0, and they are pushed up to the inhib. We are playing that game.
What I am getting at it's not that simple
