Why can't we accept that mages are different and just make two different AP jungle items
This last season and this preseason have seen three iterations of the AP jungle item, first Magus, then Runeglaive, now the new one: Runic Echoes. For those that haven't heard about it, it's basically a jungle Luden's Echo. Here is the surrenderat20 page for it.
The thing about trying to find a jungle item that every AP jungler, or potential AP jungler, can use equally is that there is no one item type that every AP champion likes to get. Some will benefit from a Sheen item such as runeglaive (Diana, Elise, AP Ekko, Twisted Fate), where others will benefit from a Luden's Echo sort of item (Nidalee, Galio, Morgana), while still others benefit more from an item like Magus (Karthus, Fiddlesticks, Rumble).
Small tangent: And after-all, why do AD people get Devourer and Warrior, whichever suits their champion better? I personally think tanks should have 2 different options as well, one that gives bonus resistances and a mini-thornmail effect that works on monsters and Cinderhulk for the different types of tanks there are. Though that could easily be abused by certain junglers. This is all beside the point though.
So, before we go nixing runeglaive in favor of Runic Echoes, why don't we consider giving ap junglers two options for jungle items to fulfill the needs of different types of AP junglers?
Thanks :)
