says someone playing a champion that requires you to literally click on someone and launch undodgeble projectiles at someone untill they die to double/triple crits. better dodge that

At least other characters are balanced around their whole kit. A Zoe who is not fed should not be able to kill an enemy ADC with just autos.

Almost if not all burst mages have some way to deal damage either with superior range, or with the mobility to get in and out quickly. So most ADCs have to just sit and take it unless the burst mage fucks up and ends up too close for a long time.
