Does Akali feel less powerful to anybody else?

Her passive feels nerfed with how healing and damage are split into separate basic attacks (and you get way less healing in general now), her E is still as meh and low impact as it's always been even with the damage increase, her ult is even suckier and her W is great in the middle of a fight and terrible for chasing a target.

Damage hasn't really changed, aside from being shifted away from her ult and spread out between her E that doesn't replenish energy and her passive that makes it harder to properly burst like before. Her effectiveness in long fights is also somewhat reduced now that emphasis is put on using her E more often, burning away energy.

Just curious Riot, was this supposed to be a buff or a nerf? The word for how it feels to play her can only be summed up as "awkward".

Solution? My idea would be to just give her damage and healing in one basic on her passive, every few seconds or whatever, and give back the 1 second cooldown on using Akali's ultimate on 3rd rank.

Yes they made her weaker. She has some changes coming in 6.23. Can't say off the top of my head tho

They actually are going to do some huge upgrades it seems based on the PBE such as increasing the AP scaling from 30% to 60%, The Twilight's Shroud energy cost going down by a whole 20 points across the board and even her E is jumping from 50% to 70% on its AP ratio.

The goal they were aiming for on Assassins were suppose to grant a level of counter play and of course 'flesh them out' from being the same jump on a target and instant kill them. Akali in that regard originally had that in the manner of playing heavily with on hit effects such as her Q mark, her old passive upping her auto damage, using hex tech gunblade for that extra burst of damage and heal, active too which helps deny runners and even her R being a good measure to close gaps, which sadly got more used todo alot more damage then just gap close.

For Akali the aim they likely were going for was to make her R less of a damage spaz intention and her passive focusing more on doing a strong 'heal' then a strong 'hit of damage' then just have it fleshed out as granting her a small heal and small damage boost on her abilities and autos respectively which the latter is more of a fighter gimmick, trading for a extended fight then jumping in a target, quickly taking them down and quickly get out before a tank can get on her.

Meaning she ends up with 2 ways she can screw up jumping on a target, if they can quickly escape her before she manage to hit them with the second auto (still likely getting the Q mark off with the first auto so they still do hard damage and because of the mark proc thats 3 hits for a thunderlords damage blast include), It doesn't help either she's a energy champion so i would think they need to at least make them have a bigger chance of screwing up if they don't do it right, since if a champion like that can easily get away constantly they can just do it again on another lane or the same target again after her energy recharges back up in a few seconds.

Never the less i find her E's cooldown refund on unit kills to be a nice breath of fresh air since it lets you free up your rotations and kill units smoother, though i might need to reconsider what should be capped first then just her Q, like any standard katarina or zed still do, using it for hitting high damage, with katarina losing her mark and raising it doesnt up the damage for dagger spins, meaning Kat could probably even have E capped first for spamming shunpo fast. The extra AP scaling they have on the PBE could definitely make it more effective though.

Either way, Assassins are not suppose to be in long fights or play as tanks, that is the critical issue, if they are going to be as such then they might as well be Slayers instead, intended for taking tankie targets then killing squishie targets.
