Taliyah feels very underwhelming

That's a whole lot of skillshots for not a whole lot of damage. Utility mages are supposed to provide utility for the team, but she only hosts a small knockup and a moderate slow field? She has the wall but it's a pretty situational fighting tool at best.

A lot of utility mages seem to offer more than her, and are easier to use. Karma's a perfect example. Everything Taliyah does, Karma can do better. Sure there are some situational nitpicks but overall, Taliyah is just so underwhelming right now.

She seems really hard to play but I think she has an incredible amount of potential. Every time I got a full Q channel off I was surprised by how much damage it did and I know that Lucian players, after putting a lot of time into him, could get really really good at reliably landing most of his ult. A knockup is always strong and being able to direct the target in any direction is also super useful. I think her wall defies reason with all the potential power it has.

Taliyah has a lot of damage, she just also has a lot of counter play which buying Rylais reduces a little. I don't think Taliyah and Karma can really be compared much beyond the fact their kits are both healthy and they can kite.

I hate how people are rushing Rod of Ages on her. Its a terrible item that offers you no noticeable powerspike. I honestly think everyone should build Lich Bane as the first item on her. The powerspike Lich Bane offers is insane.
