@Meddler remember how you said you were looking to give some buffs to Darius?

How come the only change he got was to his ult? It was a good buff, I will admit, but that isn't enough to help him out in todays meta.

I'm not saying he is old Sion tier, but he isn't tier 1 or god tier, he's very situational as the only use he has is his laning phase, and if he loses his lane phase(which HAPPENS), he is useless all game as his teamfighting is mediocre at beast.

Is he getting anything else Meddler? He really needs some help.

If he isn't getting help because he is getting his rework again, that's fine.

He wins his lane he is nearly unstoppable. Basically like an avalanche, one little lead and he can push it all the way to their nexus.

Aren't Riven, Irelia, Tryndamere, Renekton, Hecarim, and hell just about every top laner the same?

He's more kiteable than those guys and loses to most ranged champs in lane and late game.

Actually no. Darius is one of the few champions where while in his danger zone, you usually don't escape. He has so much stickiness, DOT, and burst that very few champions who are melee can stay in melee range with him and trade favorably/ live. Also Darius counters all of the champions you just mentioned. This is why I pick him. Even Tryndamere can't deal with him because he has the luxury of building tanky and reducing his attackspeed VIA w.

They are (minus Hec) less extreme versions of Darius. They rely somewhat on early-mid game snowball to overcome certain match-ups, but none of them are as strong in those phases as Darius. in exchange these champs do scale a lot better than Darius though. Darius's trade of for his early game that destroys every other melee champ in the game is his lack of scaling.

Don't be silly. Darius wins lane (not always tho). He is getting kited and outscaled so hard. So ur comment worths nothing at all. Downvoted.

I personally think that the only thing darius really NEEDS is bug fixes, because he has a crazy amount of bugs that can legit lose you a game.

You got the bleed bug, where it doesn't do full damage.

The cursor bug, where some sequence of events (Have yet to figure it out tbh), will cause your cursor to glitch. This causes you to not be able to select targets to attack unless you use attack move, and you can no longer ping or use the minimap to move your camera.

The W bug in which his attack speed slow wasn't proccing (Is fixed for now. Apparently this bug will randomly appear. Did some digging, happened sometime last year too)

His ult sometimes not reseting on kill, when you very cleary killed them within a 0.5 second window of the ult landing.

Shit like that.

Now, with the full reset at level 16, darius actually has a pretty solid lategame honestly. Especially in a tank meta, where more often than not someone on his team will have initiation. Darius is a lot easier to justify picking right now. Just fix his goddamn bugs.

The ult change is kind of huge

the whole "slam anyone on the map with a 1000+ true damage nuke that resets CD" is kind of a big deal lategame. In Season 2 he was the definition of "the walking ultimate".

And his kit needs some problem fixing before they can actually buff him (mainly the oppressive laning phase against melees, and the incredibly high kite potential/immobility found in his kit).

1000 damage nuke. Really? 100 damage means 350+ ad Darius. He needs to buy at least 3 defensive items. He can't really beat every melee match up 1v1 ( Volibear (only with summoner 14 but you need to take summoner 12 ) or XinZhao ) He doesn't deal with campers tho.

Still was the most balanced champion in the game. Read this post already. 765+ upvotes. Even Riot's comment about that.

Dragon and Baron buffs make that shit really easy.

Wrath potion makes it happen almost every game.

300+ ad ok. For example 2 dmg items: item 3074 and item 3156 provide him 250-280~ total damage. So he needs third ad item. Too much for him. (Geting too squshy) 300 damage = something around 890-900 true damage at max stack. But not even 1000

darius might only beat aroudn 80% of the top lane meta pick, but he beats around 95% of the other lane picks. what darius needs is for hhis skills to be recoded so they work like every other skill in the game and not pull you after you flash away.

darius also has the biggest lvl 6 powerspike of any champ i know
