The nerfs on PBE won't do shit. She still is going to invalidate 1/2 of the champion pool just by existing. I guess it's because she sells a lot of skins so riot doesn't want to discourage people from buying janna skins because "she is too weak". Or it's because riot likes jacking it to janna perma shielding adcs while adc does burst per second.
redniwediS4 votesNo champion deserves to be gutted. The goal should be balance, not removing a champion from all effective play just because some people are salty.
Janna is primarily strong because of how common dive comps are in solo queue. She's not exactly good right now against a siege comp, but no one plays those and would rather just get wrecked by Janna instead of picking smart. It's not about the shields or damage boost from said shield, it's about Janna's ability to keep you off her chosen carry.

Metal Janna1 votesLearn to Ori support? I one-trick her and generally find any lane vs Janna to be an easy lane. She can't shield as hard as Janna, but she shields just enough to stop the casual pokes while having the damage to turn trades and all-ins in her favor. Her shield is also on a shorter cooldown than Janna's, meaning you can stop more pokes. She's basically Janna for more aggressive supports who would rather have a hook than a heal for an ult.
