its two different items... one builds into the other...

just as + builds into and they are all 3 different items

but for the purpose of build options, counting both is redundant as people aren't gonna build one and then build its smaller component just to have it sit in their inventory.

so when AD buy item 3156 item 3139 and edge of night all of which have awesome passives and actives none of which overlap..

i respond buy doing what? buying 3x item 3157 ?

AD can get THREE items that increase both their DAMAGE and their defense vs AP

if i want to build AP AND have defense vs AD i only have ONE choice.. and because riots deems the active "so strong" it means it gives very little AD and AP to begin.

after i get item 3157 i have ZERO other options to increase AD that can ALSO give me AP from that item slot
