Because people are too immature to hold their composure. Taunt's are good psychological warfare, I don't know why we can't keep taunt spamming either.
Are you taking about the audio short-loops when you spam the key? If they are finally fixing those then I say great. Some of the champions that can do it can get irritating. The short-loops were bugs to begin with.
May I ask what their doing? I don't remember seeing anything about this. Are they making it so that when you mute a person you can't hear their taunt anymore? Or can you like, disable the animation too?
I'm glad they're gone. They're annoying as hell and SUPER loud -.-; Heimer's was obnoxiously loud as was Nasus. And frankly I got tired of turning my sound down every time there was a Nasus/Garen/Heimer/Liss on the field in ARAM -.-

Why do it? Is it to annoy others with monotony of the spam? Well trying to annoy others is toxic. You dont think so? Then what is trying to annoy others? Trying to annoy others is just that, an attempt to put them in a negative state of mind....

Honestly, I really dont want to hear my ADC say "You belong in a museum" twenty times a minute because they bound the taunt to their right-mouse click.
My proposal to this issue was much more punishing. I suggested that we let people hammer the taunt button as much as they like, but the have to finish the animation for each taunt they qued up. That ment you could be locked into several seconds of animation for tapping the button over and over to BM. It would also add some weight to an actual taunt because you would have to finish what you start, and it could cost you, so risk would be added.

So should we remove tools for assholes to annoy people? I dont like assholes, I dont think assholes like assholes. They just stand up for other assholes to protect their own desire to be assholes. When we let assholes unite, we just get a pile of shit. Enter references to the League community...
So while it isnt so much "offensive" for me, its annoying, and I dont need people having any more tools to be annoying shitty little pricks in this game than they already do, so if we can remove one... fuck em. Take away that annoying taunt spam.

It's not annoying when the other team is doing it. It's annoying when my team mate is doing it instead of fighting with the team.
It's pretty annoying and for me personally I have to turn the voices down to 0%. "You belong in a museum!" macro'd onto the Q key drives me insane. Thankfully the abusers of this aren't in the bot lane. I don't see what the issue is? They aren't removing taunts...
I actually had an experience where because of some funky coding on 
that made it even after I muted him, his stupid glitchy taunt spam got through. Same goes for

So really, if I want to stop the dedicated players who never stop spamming, I'd have had to shut my sound off completely. No thanks, you can lose your glitchy taunt spam and work with normal taunt spam if you really need to 'tilt' people that badly.
Where is the evidence? Not that I am skeptical. I love taunt spamming. I just wanna know where you are getting this info.
