Isn't this his 4th or 5th rework? Most champs have yet to receive one, it's a little disconcerting how little focus is paid to the rest of the roster.

They keep reworking him because every other rework has made him ridiculously hard to balance.

I believe this is his 4th rework which makes it his 5th iteration of a champion. Yes, I agree. It's silly to focus him so much when other champions have FAR FAR older and less interesting kits... Warwick. Irelia (so maybe the lead balancer can stop hating Irelia because he dislikes her kit. This is the case as soon as she came out). etc

Champions get more reworks if they are problematic or hard to balance in their current state, Jax and Skarner have received multiple reworks for similar reasons

Ryze suffers from the problem of either being obscenely broken or not worth playing. Its his design as this machine gun mage that holds him back as its not a healthy champ design

Except many other champions break just as easily. Red smite warwick. Evelynn. Sejuani. Yorick

The list goes on and on. Ryze is not the only champion who is hard to balance or breaks the game.
