I noticed Akali is extremely hard to blow up to the average assassin

That seems to be a problem considering if Zed even makes one mistake he dies.

His base health is 1939 at 18 with 18.1 hp/5.

Akali has a base hp of 2033 with a 19.4 hp/5.

I want to note that Akali can blow up teams and has innate sustain can is much more capable of sticking to people and who's ult can't be stopped, and even if you do manage to displace her out of it she has 2 more casts that can hurt for way more than Zed's combined. And she has innate sustain in her kit.

Another thing I noticed is assassin's randomly get a lot of armor considering they aren't really supposed to be taking damage to begin with. So giving them armor just makes it even harder to counter play them. (85-86 base is a lot for an assassin even at max rank).

Also looking at Talon, he gets about 7 less AD and 5 less hp at max rank

So pink warding the 1k hp akali who can kill me in 2 abilities, which I will remind you heals her for about 400-600 health, solves the problem? She can just Zhonya's after she kills me and wait for her team to bail her out. Pink ward doesn't reduce her damage nor does it make her less durable.

My point is that the reason people have trouble with her is she is really tough for an assassin meant to blow a single person up and leave. And on top of this her sustain is really high making it hard to punish her for her mistakes.

Because she has insane sustain and damage out put. Literatley all Akali needs is a hextech gunblade and a zhonyas and you've got the makings of an end game god. The Hextech alone gives a substantial power spike and the main form of her insane sustain. From there on out the more AP she builds the more she will be able to dish out and subsequently sustain.

Like she is one of the main reasons why Riot doesn't buff spell vamp and you can clearly see why; she's an assassin she's meant to fucking die if bursted not heal it back up.

Gut her already, nothing good ever comes from having Akali being top tier.

Her sustain is too fucking high, half of the time you don't even notice that she's healing she just sits there not fucking dyin. Hidden power at it's finest.

Then don't let her just sit there ans free farm? She has to open herself up to harassment to get farm or to poke. Use that against her.

She's still going to get farm you know. I once played a near perfect laning game against Akali as Kass, managed to zone her out and killed her twice reaching lvl 6 while she was lvl 4. I could roam a little cause of that too and I always bought pink wards for the shroud (Which is how I killed her twice) but then she bought the gunblade and reached lvl 6..

If you can't imagine it, she essentially destroyed our entire team. I tried my best to kill her but the most I could do is bring her healh down to half and place a pink ward before I died to her crazy burst so our Riven could kill her. But she couldn't half he time because Akali would just regen the health and burst everyone else down.

So she sustains it all back up the moment she farms up 1200 gold or by using all her pots?

you go oom before actually killing Akali in lane most of the time.

And compared to Zed she is much less safe, with almost all of her damage requiring her to go in.

Zed can WQE and easily farm from range safely while harassing, with his W also used as an escape if need be, while his R gives him huge damage and another escape + ability dodge.

Akali's only escapes are to murder everything, hide in her shroud, or R to enemy minions/neutral monsters to try and escape.

But Zed only has 2 dashes both of which are really short range and fairly easy to bait out his W. How do you bait an Akali shroud? If you do put a pink in it that doesn't stop her from using another shroud or just killing you. When you have to spend 100g to have a chance at killing a champ there is a problem.

I'm not going to argue that I don't think Akali is strong - she is. Especially against disorganized teams. However he is what I think justifies her being a bit "tankier" than other assassins.

She doesn't have any escape mechanisms. She only has her shroud (which can be very useful in the right settings, but is easily countered) and her targeted dashes to enemy units. Zed has options to get out if things go sour, Akali doesn't.
Akali's dashes are predictable. Zed (and Ahri's, and Fizz's etc.) aren't. Akali will walk towards you and will dash towards you. This makes it easier to hit her with CC, skill shots, etc.

Granted those two weaknesses don't mean much if your team isn't concentrated or focused enough to play around Akali's straight-forward play style.
