@Meddler, I'd like to be able to get 100% Crit chance on Gangplank.

Pretty straight forward. After the Trinity force changes, Gangplank would need to build something like item 3078 item 3031 item 3046 item 3087 item 3009 item 3508 to get 100% crit chance. This is REALLY expensive, and not cost efficient at all. I don't think we can consider this a viable build.

#The reason why Crit chance and the way it works is not a problem for most champions who build it, because they attack multiple times in a fight. #In a teamfight, a Jinx can afford to have some of her rockets not crit because she consistantly pumps 'em out.

Gangplank on the other hand relies on ''that one big crit'' He usually gets only one barrel combo off in a fight (ESPECIALLY after the 3 barrel nerf.) I don't like the thought of RNGesus deciding if I win a fight or lose it.

_Do I think GP will be dead after the Trinity Force change? _ Absolutely not. _Do I think he will need a buff after the Trinity Force change? _ propably not. _Do I think the Trinity Force change will result in some really abnoxious situations for GP and his team? _ Absolutely.

So then again, I'd to have a way to get 100% Crit chance on Gangplank while having a viable build.

Gangplank doesn't need any compensation regarding item 3078 changes. His damage is obscene even when he doesn't hit a Crit attack. Gangplank get a better overall damage by doing a combination of both Crit Chance and Armor Penetration. More than 500 damage done by Gangplank can't be Crit (120 from Parrrley, 180 from Powder Keg, 214 from Trinity Force's Spellblade) anyway, you better amplify that damage by adding armor penetration instead. When his rework was released, you were building item 3078 item 3031 and item 3142 following with more defensive items and/or offensive ones. You had 45% Crit Chance and it was fine. With the upcoming change, you will be able to switch runes for something else than CDR du to the 20% CDR from item 3078. You will be better at farming under tower against difficult matchup due to the large attack speed boost from item 3101, better and be a better backdoorer.

I'm over 230k Mastery with Gangplank and I never built him 100% Crit as it was lacking in other things. in 6.11 my build will be with either item 3078 item 3142 item 3812 item 3156 item 3009 item 3036 or item 3078 item 3142 item 3812 item 3046 item 3031 item 3009. I'm more the first build as you can do true damage against mages and marksmen along doing constant 700-900 damage.

also. people should consider getting steraks gage to increase his ad and also increase the spellblade effect while making him tankier.

I do agree his damage is obscene tho. riot should take this opportunity and make ER give a max of 20% CDR because its too good with 30% right now.

As I stated earlier, I don't think GP needs a buff, even after the Triforce changes because he simply is a really strong champion. BUT, I do not like the thought of RNGesus deciding how much damage I'll do or occasionally if I win a teamfight.

For example The enemie team has a really fed Kog'Maw who will lifesteal his HP Bar back up in seconds if we don't burst him. In those situations, a barrel critting might win or lose you the fight. Having the barrel not crit while having 80% crit chance feels really bad.

It's not really about the power of the champion, he'll be fine. It tried to make that clear in the thread itself. But it's pretty abnoxious in situations and will make the champion feel less satisfying over all IMO.

I think they should just add another item that gives Crit and AD, with Trinity changes there's only 2 Crit items that don't have attack speed and Gangplank needs more crit to make his damage reliable.

Building some attackspeed is fine, but GP relies really hard on that crit, making his damage output extremely unreliable unless he has 100% crit chance. His 3 barrel combo is basically one jinx rocket that deals A TON of damage but has an almost 20 second cooldown on it.

I build 60% and have had very good results a large majority of the time, just with Trinity force, essence reaver, and infinity edge

That 3 item combo will give you 40% crit chance after the Triforce change. He needs his crit, and building some AS to get it is fine.

This changes to trin don't even make sense... They want to remove crit beause it's too stronk on irelia and jax, two champions that barely build AD. On the other hand, the 10% cdr is VERY strong on both of them, which means this is actualy a buff! Meanwhile champions that completly rely on trin having crit, like gp and corki will recieve a big nerf, since the extra cdr isn't that good on them (at least compared to the crit)

They are intending to buff jax with the triforce changes, there's also a seperate buff for him on the PBE.

?????

You say a lot of words here, but I have no idea what all of those words together are intended to mean.
