The gameplay boards has this conception that adcs are always crying. Yet I haven’t seen a single post from an adc in the past few months, ever since the crit “revert” that was still an overall nerf from before hand.

Yet top laners are crying about anything and everything under the sun. “Oh Tahm Kench is op” “Make ibg melee only because Ezreal touched it!” “Why top lane is allowed to be toxic” “Just gut (Insert ranged champion here)” “Mages are so op” “Make top lane great again”

Now. I wish I was memeing here. But there are legit posts from just today. You know what I’ve seen come from any adc in the past month on the boards? “I sure wish I had actual counterplay to (Insert Melee assassin here)” That’s it.

The gameplay boards has become a hashinshin echo chamber.

I haven’t said renekton was op in over 2 Months my dude. And Camille is at a 49.92% winrate. So basically 50%. Also haven’t called her out as op soooooooo?

They have some right to complain - ever since season 5, Riot basically choked most of the lane diversity out of every single role...except top.

Think about it - ADC and support -> pick from the same like top 6-8 FotM champs for their class Mid -> Picks from one of the top 4 mages/top 4 assassins/top 4 hyper-mobile FotM champs for their lane Jng -> Picks from about top 10 FotM picks for their role. And all these lanes ban other FotM champs they don't want to face.

Top -> What in the mother of fuck am I playing?! And is that a MALZAHAR TOP?! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Imagine being the only lane who has to know more than 10 champion matchups to not look like an inting cuck in every game.

I'm not defending their constant complaining - actually, I advocate for wanting more diversity in every role, so that champion select feels less FotM restrictive in general, and it feels more fun to play more unorthodox champs in any lane again.

But I will point out and hope people understand - when you're the only lane that has to consistently have encyclopedic knowledge of 75+% of the LoL roster in case of freak counterpicking, it's definitely fucking infuriating to watch your tryhard sweat of a Zed lose lane to that Lux he's supposed to hard counter.

I agree - having a diverse lane is actually a good thing...but when it's limited to only one lane, and every other lane feels/is oversimplified, it makes newer players (who don't know any better) feel like top is overcomplicated compared to everything else...and it makes the older players feel like they're being punished, since every other lane is "pick braindead FotM champ, ban other braindead FotM champ, hope mine's better than theirs."

Poor kids don't remember Morgana, Lulu and other shits from past, toplane was always shithole, that's why i've chosen it, tho I play more and more midlane so idk, I love to have impact on whole map, that's it probably.

Yes, please gut Vayne or rework her.

You either burst her down instantly or die to her, fun gameplay. Also, she does way too much damage early game for having such a strong late game.

the best thing for me is how every single top laner always complains about how every single champion in existence make every single melee champion in the top lane completely useless and irrelevant.

Second best thing i hear from top laners is how ranged top laners shouldn't be there even though things like Kennen, Vlad, Swain, Gnar, Jayce among many others have literally always been top laners
