How to deal with Gangplank?

Gangplank has one of the worst f2f combat playstyle, as he has to completely rely on ranged-attacks to do the bidding, such as his Q or barrels. Play diving champions like Yasuo or Riven to abuse his mage-playstyle of his.

This is all cancer that comes to my mind rnw, sure I forgot a lot of Champs that cuck him. Just look for early-mid burst, even a good malphite can just run him down.

EDIT: Forgot super AIDS, Lucian, who can defuse the barrels before GP can even use them (his passive lets him kill 'em at 2 health.)
