He's an assassin, he needs to have at least some reliability in killing squishies. Qss and Clense removed like half of his combos, hence why it's no longer allowed to remove his mark.

I was annoyed by this at first too, but it was simply the case of adjusting your tactics.

Don't go solo, stick to your team. Ward. Cooperate and communicate. Use pings. Learn his patterns.

Teamplay is the key against teams with assassins, even more so than with most other dominant roles.
