Has anyone been in a game where Fizz isn't picked or banned?
Zed has a skillcap, Rek'Sai is new and hopefully gets nerfed soon. I don't see them too often in my elo.

However, when Fizz is there, everyone forgets how to counter him.

I wouldn't say he's THAT popular. Sure, he's a common pick (and even more common ban), but let's not overreact here.

Regardless, it's just because

are the only Assassins that can actually Assassinate. Everyone else either has their damage too spread out or is a jungler which makes them underfarmed and underleveled.
Of course the only truly functional champions of a role are going to be in the spotlight. Same thing as Lee Sin.
