Is Riven Going To Get Some Buffs Anytime Soon?
Why is it that even with MASSIVE CS leads Riven cannot out trade these Juggernauts and Tanks who don't even have as much Gold and items? It feels so outrageous that I can't 1v1 a 6 cs / min Sion or Garen when I have 9-10.5 cs/minute.
Why is Riven not allowed to be strong anymore? Ever since release she's been shit on again and again by the balance team because of people crying... Please let Riven actually be strong again and stop listening to a bunch of players who don't even play the champion when they cry about how "broken" she is. The game is filled with so many champions far more "broken" than Riven. I feel really offended that people who play Riven have to suffer while far more overloaded and broken champions keep getting released.
Riven is in the dumps and I can feel it. I'm not here to say that she's impossible to climb with, that's not quite it. What I'm mostly saying is that, compared to the other champions that are in the game, Riven is complete garbage. There is like almost no reason to really pick Riven anymore, and it's been consistently getting worse and worse. I'm sure Riven is still popular, because her kit is fun, but you know what's not fun? Playing against a bunch of champions who don't even need farm to be unkillable, while you can't even scratch them with the largest CS lead possible.
The thing is however, those beef cow champions don't actually need nerfs in my eyes. Instead other Top laners, like Riven, need some substantial buffs so they can actually feel useful again. Is Riven going to be really strong against squishes? Yupp. You know what however, she already is, and always has been good against those champions... so what changes in that regard? Nothing.
Riven is a skirmisher who is supposed to excel at fighting multiple melee enemies in close range, you know what really happens? This big fat tank gets 1 or 1 and a half items and suddenly even with 2 items you cannot outdamage him. Two enemies? LOL you better hope it's some squishy ass Lee Sin who doesn't have his ultimate yet, because you sure as hell aren't taking out that beef cow tank 1v2 unless he misses every ability in his kit.
Oh and, it's pretty ridiculous that you have to be useless unless you're using Conqueror. The entire reasoning behind this new keystone system was to give champions more options to play with.. apparently unless you are Riven. Maybe that keystone seemed like a great idea at first, but the funny part is, it's so strong that everyone uses it. If you don't take it, you can't even trade with anyone Top because it's so stupidly strong that none of the other keystones can even compare. Variety at its finest.
Anyways, I sincerely hope Riot stops making Riven rely on a keystone and keeps giving her more buffs until she's actually strong again. If you hate Riven, well, good for you. For me, I love playing Riven and I'm sick of having to "be better" than my enemies to actually win games when everyone else can play brain dead Tanks like Sion that require zero skill.
