One thing I noticed about DOTA that almost no one in league does

First off, yes, I am trying to get into DOTA as this game is just a shit show right now (Nice riven buffs on PBE, it's not like Riven is strong enough already).

And Second, DOTA players call when people place wards. I play in super low elo DOTA (1130 or something MMR, that's the same as low bronze here) and even there, if a ward is placed and someone sees it, someone in the chat (voice or text) is saying there is a ward and pinging exactly where it is.

In league I almost never get that (then again I am Silver) and I just don't know why. Knowing if something isn't warded is great to know so that if someone like me (jungle main) is going in for a gank, I know that I wont give my position away going through somewhere. It's not even that hard to ping where a ward is which makes it that much more frustrating.

GUYS, CALL YOUR WARDS, MAKE PEOPLES LIVES EASIER.

It happens in gold, but not as much as it should. There is no easy way to say that there is a ward other than "ward" and pinging, but even then some people will think you are telling them to ward there.

I see people call ward. Though you're right, it should happen more often.

DotA not good though. Barracks don't respawn? Higher item cap so the forced teamwork phase comes later? Illegible map? Paying for recall? Losing gold when you die? These exist because they did in the old mod; they haven't moved on. It's an old, creaky game design.
