Does Kayle's "Photon Torpedo" (Q) do more damage off AD or AP?

Could I have some clarity on this as I really enjoy playing Kayle but I am not sure if her Q gets more damage from AP or AD.

Kayles Q does more when she goes AP

The reason for this is because AP and AD do not give the same amounts for the same amount of gold. 100% scaling AD will still often do less than 60% AP.

item 1038 1300g for 40AD

item 1058 1200g for 60 AP

1300 / 40 = 32.5 gold for 1 AD 1200 / 60 = 20 gold for 1 AP

MAGIC DAMAGE: 60 / 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 (+ 100% bonus AD) (+ 60% AP) SLOW: 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 55%

It scales better with AD. 100% scaling.
