Does Riot encourage players with huge egos?

Just got out of a game with a Syndra who thought she was god's gift to the role. She was diving into the enemy team, getting one kill and then calling herself successful.

I just cannot abide players with an arrogant attitude like that, plus she tells me that Karma should "only use her shield to prevent kill stealing." When I say "James Cameron just called... he wants to make a movie out of your ego". She gets really nasty and then calls me toxic.

Where do players like this get off, it seems that every game has one person in it that thinks that being an arrogant prick during games is acceptable behavior?

They're pricks, but it's not against the rules. If you encounter one like that on your team, just don't help them. Give them a dose of reality that this game is not a one-man show.

There's arrogant people everywhere. Especially on the internet.

We can't do anything against arrogance, but you can report them for being toxic when she does flip on you.

If you don't like a player's attitude then mute them and report post-game if you really think you ought to. Riot does not encourage that sort of behaviour, and I am confused why that is in the title when you make no reference to it in your post. I do want to point out, though, that from what you are telling us, that player did nothing wrong. The syndra could have come off as really annoying, but not breaking any rules as far as i can tell.

Holy shit i had in my placements a syndra like that last season, a total fuckwad that did nothing but killsteal to look good and afk walking calling me a clown when she pushed out a target from my hitbox... Are we talking about the same person retard?

But yeah, attention whores should be gutted off this game, and life in general.

As someone with a huge ego, absolutely.

Yasuo is living proof of this.

Having a big ego will help you gain ELO. You need confidence to make bold plays in this game. You see a little too much humility at the bottom of gold and I think it hurts peoples chances of climbing there. Gold 4 is a very humble division IMO.

The biggest carebears in this game are in Bronze 5 and will always stay there. Being a safe space wasteoid is a weak mentality to compete with other competitive people.

It's also not your job to comment on someone's ego. Maybe the kid got sodomized and acting egotistical is how he copes with it.
