ADC's in this game are more toxic then any other MOBA out there!

This game has one of the worst and most abusive community I've ever seen. If you don't pick Leona, TahmKench or Braum as a support then you are instantly called trash or a troll by your ADC. What is it with these people, I don't complain at you for picking Vayne and thinking you can 1v5 an entire team at level 1. Or picking Ashe and having 0 mobility while missing your arrow again and again and again.

How about you worry what you are going to pick before you start lecturing others.

I must be a very lucky support main then.

Nope... Been to SMITE, HoN and DoTA 2, their SUPPORTS are more toxic than the freaking ADCs here.

BioticBrony1 votes

Because in Smite adc's have a weak early game and the supports help make up for the fact with cc and high base damages. Ofcourse that is ignoring physical caster adc's

Elewd1 votes

also the fact of the passive gold gain, and the last hit shared gold thing, supports actually get items in smite (at least in arena, the only mode thats really worth playing)

Sona x Rubick1 votes

i can talk about dota 2, their support toxicity really depends on heroes

but one thing that is sure, is that they get countered by BKB, and those who have their cc going through BKB have situational cc like bane's ulti which is channelled

Maybe ADCs are horrible in EUW but I guarantee you here in NA it's quite the opposite. If your ADC starts giving crap you usually have the entire team start harassing them from personal experience.

It's been a thing that bugs me actually - I get that supporting is the least popular role and that the expectations are different, but in my mind it doesn't mean that they don't need to perform. I've been in so many games where if the supports does horribly (and I'm not talking about KDA) it's somehow ok. It definitely is not; the difference between a good and bad support can make or break a game.

I've laned with competent supports where I'm just like holy shit will you have my kids because I'm literally not doing anything and somehow still winning lane.

Long as you dont take teleport Chogath support.

At my elo, over half the supports you get are autofil or mids who want a faster que.

The only problem I see with the champs you list is they can be abused by the popular range supports.

The only support I auto assume will suck is Leona. Lee syndrome and no chill 90 percent of the time.

When I get support, I played only Janna and LeBlanc last season, and my team rarely if ever raised a fit about it.

I may have had 1-2 games where my ADC was a brat and AFK'd because I picked LB Support, but most people don't really care as long as you're trying.

I dunno, who do you think I am?

Well you played the same exact champs as someone I used to smurf with. I get the feeling that you are either messing with me or you really are just some other person.

Coincidence - I haven't played duo with anyone since I played on EUW like 3-4 years ago. Being a 3 trick and playing off meta tends to make you lose friends and end up with all the blame and causes arguments, so I said fk it and only play by myself now.

Wow, that's actually hilarious then. The guy I played with had over 1k janna games season 5 I think, and played a bit of leblanc too, so just a random coincidence. The same guy is also known for playing on different accounts all the time because he's always buying and reselling them.

Leblanc support is great and I commend you for playing it. I love people that take non-traditional supports because some other champions are better at blowing up champs that are currently overpowered in the support position (I.E. Brand). I do play quite a bit of Velkoz support for this reason.

I would play Leblanc as a support but I cannot play her normally anyway so there really isn't much point and I should just stick to what I'm good at.

True, I'm a 3-trick player. It's literally been years since I played any champion other than Janna, LB, and Eve, because I'm so scared of going 0/10 and getting yelled at by my team. I feel like with thousands of games on those 3 champs, there's not a chance in hell I'll be anywhere near as proficient on any other champ without hundreds of hours of playtime.

So... can you give me a rundown on how Leblanc support works?

Exactly like any other mage - you press buttons until the enemy dies.

But seriously, she's just a single target version of Brand/Annie. Her mobility in lane helps her a ton vs a lot of supports, because she can just jump over them, onto the ADC and ruin their day. You basically build her exactly like you do mid, sightstone optional. I normally get FQC and forego Sightstone tbh. You can still get disgustingly fed and carry from bot lane. I generally pick LB when the team is trolling or arguing pregame so I can mute everyone and just carry by myself.

Awesomedude88881 votes

That actually sounds like one hella cheesy plan, considering how LB is still cancer to play against (as an AD main) and she can one-shot the enemy ADC before 6.

It's no more cheesy than oneshotting / stunning the ADC and support with Annie. She won't be oneshotting the ADC by any means unless she gets fed. She has to pull off 2-3 combos in a row, or get a jungle gank to start her snowball. I just happen to be sort of a LB onetrick, and I've had thousands worth of games of experience on her, and over a million mastery points since they introduced the system, so I've become very good at staying alive and pushing out the dmg. When the rework dropped, I was feeding horribly after 20 minutes, even with disgusting 8/0 scores and whatnot.

For someone who doesn't main her, Brand/Annie/Zyra/Lux/Morgana are all probably going to be more effective and easier to play, and they still remain relevant even if they fall behind because of their utility.

In any lane you play her, LB is completely reliant on getting a lead and snowballing. If you screw up and die early on, you can kiss any chance of relevance goodbye for the rest of the game, and you'll basically be a chainbot until the game ends. She's also become quite difficult to pick up and stay relevant with, even with a lead.

You should have a lot of practice with her in mid lane before you take her support in a serious game. And even then, only if you've played her a lot more than any of the above named supports.

Awesomedude88881 votes

Basically... unless you've played a lot of LB and/or can get yourself fed early on picking her as a support is a bad idea. Should I stick with a more "traditional" support champ pool then if I get autofilled?

Correct - I wouldn't ever recommend just picking up LB support for the hell of it - even playing her mid requires a lot of dedication and time when you could be way more effective with many other champions who are easier to play. If you look up her stats at champion.gg, you don't break even until somewhere between 15-50 games.

If you get autofilled, it depends on your playstyle - some people mesh well with the Mage supports that I already named, some people play the passive/CC/healer mages like Janna/Soraka/Nami/Sona, and some people like Tank supports like Leona/Tahm/Blitz.

I can't tell you what playstyle works for you, but some people have preference for one over another. If LB ever gets banned, I end up playing Janna or Evelynn. If those two get picked/banned I dodge because I literally don't play anyone else and I wouldn't want to first-time a champion in ranked.

I play Soraka who everyone seems to forget COUNTERS the famous Caitlyn/Zyra toxic lane meta that is going around at the moment. I swear people just cannot be bothered to think and just want Riot and pro-players to do the thinking for them,.

because in other mobas adcs arent all that important

100HorsePower2 votes

ADC's aren't that important anyway. Its the perceived sense of self-entitlement in this game that makes them like that. ADC's are most the most self-entitled players in the game who feel they are more important then they actually are.

I had a game yesturday where our Ashe was awful and ate all Morgana's bindings so instead of wasting heals on her. I went and supported the Nasus up top who was on 200 stacks and was wrecking top lane. He then came down and won the lane for us because of my healing and I actually bothered to heal him in a tough spot and we won the game.

Ergo... ADC's think they are important but they are just as expendable as the rest of us. If an ADC is terrible, healing them and constantly saving their life will not make them better and it puts me in danger also.

Ralanr1 votes

ADCs are only considered more important because they as a whole can safely take down structures in comparison to everyone else.

If abilities hurt structures like in HotS then ADCs wouldn't be played often IMO.

True but only for an ADC doing bad. It's very imprtant to support a good/fed ADC because they are capable of dishing out the most damage. If you have a good one you should be trying to tunnel resources into them and do everything you can to keep them alive.

In other games, there really aren't ADCs there. There are just Carries/DPS.

ikr i hate when this happens, and the adc be like thats not how janna plays so on and so forth

Stephenizgod1 votes

Thats why I play Yorick Support :D

if the ADC is bad i start summoning Mist Walkers who take the CS automatically. I then push relentlessly and force their team to come down and stop me. That opens up top and mid (who rarely ever do anything while I am 1v5ing... ) to take their turrets.

adc are generally trash players. I mean your job is to afk farm and hit things from afar and since adcs are overtuned as fucking fuck atm it's not even hard to do so. But let us cry that we get killed by a fed assasin while split pushing at the tier 2 bot tower while our team is toplane and say its a weak role. Meanwhile these shitty champs dont even need to dodge skills since they litterally facetank. Having a Jinx sit and facetank you as Xin with a bruiser build says a lot.
