Because there is barely any Heimerdingers in high elo games. Reason being is because he is outclassed and is easily countered. In low elo he can be a pub stomper and op but in high elo games Heimerdinger doesn't contribute in any way. You're practically handicapping yourself.

I think he needs a rework. The little turret concept is neat, but overall his kit just makes him a 'win lane, lose game' kind of champion. Sort of like a less-annoying Yorick, imo.
coppinslinger2 votesIts just the champion kit. If you want to see Heimerdinger more, he needs a rework, not a buff. If you just straight buff his numbers, then he'll just become OP because of how linear his kit is.
Honestly, some champions are just designed to be more effective in lower-tier play than others. That's how Riot appeals to a wide-audience of players.
Subject 51 votesIt does not really matter if nobody is playing the champion or not. He can easily 1v2 in the top lane, the main issue is he fails to keep up with the team compositions that exist in the new season. Like if you were to have a Kha'zix and a jayce top, he would fail to have synergy with that team composition. He is very strong and usually is left to his own little world and push.

Say there were only 5 heimers this week and 3 won out of the 5, obviously there will be a high winrate but if more people played Heimer, the winrate would definitely go lower. Hell, the Heimer games they played they probably got carried or the enemy team had a dc. People don't play Heimer because he has bad everything. Simply put, why play Heimer when you can play Azir? Or even other champs.
