Soraka is the new Vlad

Anyone else notice that the new changes to Soraka make her like a super Vlad? I've taken her to both mid and top lanes and doing fairly well. I feel like she's got better Q dmg than Vlad and better health recovery through her Q. (If you're good at landing it.) The only advantage vlad has is that his Q is just point and click whereas Soraka Q has to be timed to land it, but she is no doubt a stronger pick, cause the Q also slows the target. I've been able to deny farm and safely trade blows with many opponents and it seems a bit too strong. Mid lane in particular since she can also silence mages/caster assassins. What's more, ganks in her lane are safer cause she can heal whomever helps her.

I'm not gonna lie, I've greatly abused this change to her kit. (Because before the heal/slow was only in the center of where her Q lands.) Now it applies to everything in the circle. I've been playing many soraka games and while she isn't "OP" I do feel she's a bit stronger than she needs to be...

My question to you all. Do you think the recent changes to soraka are taking her in the right direction, or do you think Riot gave her too much power for a support?

Except Vlad has huge AoE damage potential and a brainlessly easy escape mechanism... two things Soraka does not have... in addition Vlad is not gated by mana at all whereas Soraka is.

I hope to see Soraka going mid against me sometime, I could use a free win.

I fought against a Soraka as Twisted Fate, I was thinking this should be an easy lane at least until she starts spamming her Q on me for what looks like almost no mana. She hit me with Q and E and took about almost half my HP, and it barely looked like her mana bar even dropped. I even one time looked and her actual mana bar didn't drop after she used her Q, and when I told my friends that they claimed it must of been from a lot of mana regen, though I know she had no mana regen from her runes since she had 51 AP at level 1 so she had 36 AP rune page. Though I didn't care to much honestly in that lane, I'm not good with TF at all so it could just be me being bad at the champion...though it was very annoying to feel like I was using more mana from wild cards than she was from both her Q and E, and the fact that Soraka's Q is on an even less CD then TF's skills...considering that is kind of his thing, to have generally lower CDs then the mages he face (besides for his Ult).

I even had a game where we had a Soraka top destroy a Riven. That one I guess could be a number of things since the Riven was pretty bad actually lol..
