Can you please add ranked decay for players who skip seasons?

I just encountered a player who skipped S8 entirely, then came back and decided to jump straight into ranked.

Because there is no decay, they were placed into Diamond III MMR, despite a 40% win rate. They basically intentionally fed, ending the game 1-9-2.

They were so out of practice that it was indistinguishable from having dropped a Bronze player into a Diamond game; for example, at level 3, they were so focused on watching a fight at top lane that the enemy jungle Nasus literally auto'd them to death with no reaction.

I feel like skipping an entire season should warrant some sort of MMR penalty, but maybe I'm just crazy.

You have no fucking idea what "Inting" means. Intentional Feeding. If s/he try, is not inting. Fuck this toxic comunity. They can't satnd any mistake.

Yikes calm down there.

“Basically intentionally feeding” is not the same as intentionally feeding. It’s just a phrase to show how bad they were performing—to the point where they were performing in a manner that resembles someone who is intentionally feeding.

At no point did OP say they were intentionally feeding nor was it implied.

Edit:

Seems several others agree with this misinterpretation. Viewing non-toxic comments as toxic is probably why you'd view the community as toxic.

I would be fine with that, but you shouldn't act like there aren't 40% wr people in diamond who did play last season. This season fucked climbing pretty hard and I can (metaphorically, because it would be naming and shaming) point out at least 2 people from this board that are sitting in diamond with near 40% wrs after being gold or below last season.

Skipping a season DOES reduce MMR. So does ANY SEASON RESET.

Your MMR is literally the average of a Gold IIV account + your ending rank/2 minus some number, Which results in low elo players starting slightly lower than they were, and Diamond Players starting significantly lower than they were.

If he Started D IV, he used to be Diamond I or better.

(I can't quote the exact formula; I'm at work. But it's out on the net)

I'd be alright with that. Nothing wild, but a lil bit.
