The State of Gameplay Boards (Why you should stop complaining about Yasuo.)

Yasuo, in my opinion, is one of the most well designed champions in League of Legends. He is fun to play, has a very high skill cap, and has one of the highest outplay potentials in the game. Remember back in the days when LCS used to be watchable? You would see champions like Zed, Riven, LeBlanc, and Yasuo being played in mid lane, champions that would excite you and put you on edge as the players show off their mechanics, and blow you away whenever a player would outplay the other. But fuck all that, right? Let's make the only viable mid lane picks Wave Clear Spam Champions Galio and Gold Funneling MasterYi Taric.

. The gameplay boards has devolved into silver/gold players constantly bitching about Yasuo and all the other mentioned champions Yasuo Zed Leblanc Riven until they get nerfed to the ground, so then you can go back to bitching about how stale and unwatchably boring LCS is.

Great job.

People on the General Discussion Boards are called GD'ers.

We need a name for people on the Gameplay boards.

I don't understand why champions like galio are allowed to exist literally ruin the fun of the game, by doing nothing but farming, and denying any plays on the map with this kind of ult

same with shen those champions ruin the game and also make pro play so boring to watch

This post is such a joke. Yasuo, one of the most well designed champs? Are you out of your god damn mind?! Fun? I guess he is. Highest outplay potentials in the game? True, which is also why he is such a pain in the arse to face. If i am vel and im facing yasuo, im at his absolute mercy.

Hitting yasuo with slow moving spells is very VERY difficult if he has a brain. And then there is his stupid ass passive shield, which BTW can completely absorb almost every spell in the game as long as he hasnt fallen behind. And lets not forget his bs windwall with its long duration that completely invalidates whole kits. There is also his obnoxious mobility around minions that make it extremely difficult to hit him with skillshots and making your minions essentially foes. And lastly, his general utility. For a carry he has shittons of utilities. His w and his cc. Oh and the plethora of safety nets. Oh and his r interaction with turrets.

The main issue people complain about these champions isn't because of how fun they are to play. It is how bad it is to play against them, or have them as your teammate in unskilled hands.

Because these champions have a lucidcrous skillcap, failing even once almost garuantees a lost lane, and in this meta, equals a lost game, so people get pissed off at those players a lot.

Plus, yasuo's kit currently does post an issue with how crits work for him.

My point being, people hate yasuo because it sucks if youre on the receiving end of him, as a losing ally or as a winning enemy. There is no fun in fighting him, there is no relief in killing him, he creates a frustrating atmosphere for everyone except the yas player himself.

the main reason those players are silver/gold are because bronze, silver and gold make roughly 3/4 of the entire playerbase if not more. so you are bound to see most complains come from them cuz they are most present in numbers

think ive figure out the core of why Yasuo is so Annoying, its his passive shield and ability to just sit on your face and just 2X Q you then knock you up leaving little room to react. Riot has stated that it can be unhealthy for melee champions to ONLY be about getting on a target and sticking to them no matter what to deal damage, thats why recent melee champions have been given ways to encourage them to his at a distance. Yasuo can and will stick as close as he can to a target to damage them, and his 3rd Q, in addition to E affords him the stickiness he needs. If his 3rd Q encouraged him to move back to get the most out of it it would offer opponents a chance to breathe against the slew of not only damage but CC and defense that he can put up.

Ive come up with some appropriate changes

Yasuo: 3rd Q only knocks up a little or not at all at close range and more at max range. R deals damage based on the amount of time the targets have spent in the air. Basically the higher they get knocked up the more damage it deals. Yay more skill!

Another reason Yasuo feels unfair IS the amount of defense he has for the damage he can put out. His passive shield is especially annoying for a few reasons, unlike other champions he doesn't have to cast abilities (that normally cost something) or hit enemy champion to charge it, he just has to move which can be considered uninteractive since the opponent doesn't get to do anything about it. Also it doesn't feel skillful for the Yasuo player to get the shield, all he has to do is move around, now sure you can move around alot to charge it at the last second IF there are enough units near by...but does is moving around using E or right clicking REALLY all that skillful? Not only that but if a Good Yasuo player IS moving around using E or moving they can ALSO use that to dodge skillshots/avoid enemies, and then they have a shield that they can use to tank the next ability or AA, and its passive so Yasuo ALWAYS gets to charge it, and theres NO CD. And once its up it stays. AND tower shots don't even make it go away, not saying the shield should block a tower shot, but its weird that Tower shots dont just destroy the shield. Other passive shields are just consumed based on the damage dealt to them and dont stick around once destroyed.

his passive, W, ult to refresh passive (and keep him out of tower range, this is TOO much safety for all the damage he can dish out, he gets to play like some sort of situational tank)

his passive should should just be deleted instead Rework W so it has a longer CD but it gets reduced by moving and change it so it acts more like a directional spell shield (its up for 0.75 sec and then its gone).
