Stricter punishments for Ranked AFK's please

I don't see why Riot hasn't done this. Just had a couple of AFK's in Ranked today. 3 day bans from Ranked for AFKing/DCing should be enough punishment. Unless done constantly.

Edit: The system of AFK's/DC's in ranked should be something like this. Disconnects for over 10 minutes/AFK's get a 1 day ban the first time. If done a 2nd time within the next 3 days. They'll get a 3 day ban. I honestly think it's fair, because the 1 day ban keeps them from playing, and keeps them focusing on the fact that their internet, and game aren't working correctly, so hopefully they'll fix it. The 3 day ban is basically saying. "You obviously haven't spent any time working on fixing the problem, so we'll give you a 3 day ban, and then it should keep sending out 3 day bans, if the person leaves a game in the next 3 days after the ban. After the 3 days the ban will be removed reverting back to the 1 day ban if AFK/DC.

Just send all the problem children from ranked to normals draft. It's totally not a prisoner's island.

(Author's note: The ones being reprimanded aren't the prisoners.)

Person starts up a ranked game because they have an hour to kill. Suddenly, real life strikes and being a responsible goddamn human being, they stop playing their video game and deal with real life. Why should they severely punished because they inconvenienced you?

I agree with this immensely. However, it is not fair to the 9 others and something should still be done.

Very true, but if this is the case, it will happen once at most. Very much worth keeping trolls out if it means occasionally banning someone who leaves for good reason.

You won't stop the trolls, and Riot will have to spend more time and money on fixing the systems mistakes. It's better to let a few trolls slip through, as that will happen no matter what system is in place.

I'd rather they spend the cash on new content, than catering to the trolls.

They should make sure they have time then. It's not like they'll be banned forever, but people competitive, and play to finish. If it's a 1 day ban they can go back to ranked the next day, but after that 1 day ban it should be a 3 day ban, so as long as that person doesn't DC/AFK constantly he/she should be fine.

I hate when people use this argument. I had a ranked game once where someone said they only had an hour, lets make this fast. Our team was winning, and not even close to an hour in he says "Sorry, have to go to work" and we lose. For the love of god, make sue you have time to play, stop ruining peoples games

it sucks cause I literally went from 0lp to 100lp without losing, and first game in promos I get an afk and lose. Legit, ranked afks need harsher treatment. People play ranked because its the competitive level. If you can't play through a whole game (which can last 1hr+), or you can't reasonable assure us that you will connect to the game in the first place, then don't play. Simple as that.

If you played basketball, you wouldn't want the kid who's constantly late on your starting list, or the kid who's curfew is 30 min before the game ends. Or the kid who will just leave cause he's bored or didn't get his way. And no one would question anyone's decision to kick him off the starting line-up. So why can't we kick these summoners off of our starting line up?

An DC is like an injury. You hope it doesnt happen to you, but you cant prevent it. Nobody goes into a game thinking 'im going to DC in 10 minutes'.

Your right, but then they got that day, because they got banned. To figure out why they DC to prevent it from happening again.

Just had a game where our ap mid never showed up, we lost 35 to 34, they were absolute crap, we just needed the afk's stun to win that last teamfight.
