Will we ever get a new fighter support?

Since you guys replaced Taric with a pussy 'enchanter,' will there ever be a champion who can fill this void in my heart, that I've had for so long now

I wish. Only two we "have" are Taric and Thresh.

thresh ain't rly a fighter

he's got cheesy fighter builds, but for the most part he's just a CC machine

Yeah, that's why we don't see many support fighters. They are usually just tanks/CC machines.

old taric did this very well though

One CC spell, a modest heal, and an otherwise offensive kit that got around lack of AD support items by scaling with armor, and providing offensive benefits to his own team

it was genius, and they ruined it

It's actually the same but without auras and has skill shots and a link system as a tradeoff.

Granted the heal is garbage and I have no idea why they made it like that.

it's not

he lost the damage from ult and the buff associated with it, he lost the damage+armor shred from W which means his team offense is completely neutered

the link system is stolen from Lulu and his new ult's broken, i'm actually amazed that they would ever buff his normal abilities when his ult is as poorly designed as it is

He lost damage from his ult, yes, but he got a helluva lot of damage in his Bravado, and Dazzle now deals quite a considerable amount more damage than it used to. Plus, on triggering Bravado, he gets 2 quick swings in, as magic damage that scales off of his armor, which means that he can provide more consistent and more controlled DPS than old Taric ever could. This is also coupled with the fact that Dazzle is now AOE and also scales on his armor, and since his heal is on such a low cooldown (lower even once Bravado lowers it on hit), he can almost constantly trigger Bravado once he has a mana item. There are some big trade offs between old and new Taric, but he became more about sustained damage and less about random bursts of it. Taric is much more of a fighter with his new kit than his old kit.

And also, his ult is not poorly designed by any stretch. It's one of the more balanced abilities they've launched in a long time with very clear weaknesses and very clear strengths. If you don't know how or when to use it or react to it, you'll fail against it. Once you master how to use it though, or play against it, it's very easy to manage.
