Players new to pvp, please stop buying green wards more than once per game.

Upgraded stealth totem becomes available at level 9 for 250 gold and the sightstone is available throughout the entire game for 800 gold. These are both vastly superior to green wards and give much more value throughout the game. Pink wards are good buys because upgraded vision trinkets do not function in the same way that stealth totems do (1 stealth at a time, infinite duration unless destroyed vs 3 at a time, limited duration) and upgraded vision totems are crap for this reason. Constantly buying green wards keeps you further away from buying a sightstone or more productive items. Once is okay if you are forced to back without the money for a sightstone or before level 9, but no more.

You may think this is uncommon, but look deep into what items were purchased at what times in your match history if you are not playing ranked or are low elo. You'd be surprised how many supports buy 3+ green totems, even when they have enough money for sightstone or upgraded trinket at level 9. I thought it would be better to enlighten the few people who do this than to just assume it's not a big issue.

idk man, i see bjergsen buying tons of wards throughout the game, especially when he plays solo Q.

warding is a team effort, and something that everyone should do. red trinket is just as useful as the upgraded yellow, its just as important to deny the enemy team vision.

Yeah the pros actually seem to prefer sweepers while buying their wards individually.

first of all, this is not gameplay and balance worthy, this is a misc. and second, considering most people wont buy wards to begin with,or even use the free fucking trinket ward half the time(let alone new players) i dont really think this is a "big issue" or one worth addressing at all

This is a much bigger issue than ppl buying "too many" of the wrong ward.

Buying an in game item is not "gameplay". Hm, could have fooled me.
