Sightstone and Support GP10s need to be one and the same if we want Sightstone Augments

The Support GP10s are Gold Efficient for Supports, and Gold Inefficient for Farming Roles. This means that it becomes pointless for a non-Support to abuse Sightstone Augments. It also means that there's more though put into what GP10 you start with. What am I? A Utility-Support? A Mage-Support? A Tank-Support?

item 2049 + item 3098 = Mage Support item 2049 + item 3097 = Tank Support item 2049 + item 3096 = Utility Support

Give each some modest stats (AP, HP, HP/5 + Mana/5) and a neat little passive that is reminiscent of what Frost Queen's Claim, Face of the Mountain and Talisman of Ascension.

If they combine Sightstone with the GP10 items, what happens to their unique actives? Do they branch off into separate items?

To be quite honest, I never upgrade my GP10s past Tier 2 anyway. Surely Riot could just keep Talisman of Ascension but remove the GP10 component. The other two are pretty gimmicky. FQC is basically a one-off Rylai's slow, and FotM isn't any stronger than the likes of Mikael's or Locket.

That said, I'd like each item to have passives that fill the same purpose as the current actives. Probably binds to Ally Champions.

Example: Mage Sightstone Nami Binds to an Ally Champion. When within 100 Units of each other it builds up stacks. At 100 stacks, every 5th Auto-Attack or Ability from Ally champion will leave a mark for the next 6/8/10 seconds. When the mark is consumed by your (the Support's) Auto-Attack or Ability is slows the target by x/y/z% for x/y/z seconds and deals bonus magic damage.

what happens to the junglers who buy sighstone then

They continue to buy sightstone. They just won't upgrade it until they have 6 items.

When you combine sightstone with the gold items, you propose that the actives be converted into passives. I strongly disagree with this.

Maybe not for you or a few other players who don't use the actives on the gold items, but a vast majority of support players do use them - and for me, using noticeable actives like Talisman is a huge component of me fulfilling my support role in a fun and noticeable way (as opposed to just being an aura and ward bot). Even a sweet passive like Zeke's - it's strong, its interactive, it has flashy visuals - doesn't feel nearly as good as pressing the active on your items to do some cool shit.

For me, I can't imagine a crummy passive ever replacing a clutch Talisman or Face of the Mountain shield.
